Co-husband, update please about Julie. Has Brian been to see her? How is his marriage going?

Hi D+D,
Juli's health has actually seemed to stabilize the last week - 10 days.
No more decline that I can tell. So that's encouraging.
Brian was indeed with us last week for 3 days. He flew in to visit Juli and to encourage her to get better.
She truly seemed to be lifted by his visit.

His marriage is still good and he has told his wife about his relationship with us. He told me he didn't share all of the details with his wife, simply told her that we had a "three-way, polyamorous relationship for a few years." He said his wife took it well and did encourage him to come visit Juli since she has not been in good health.

I purposely gave them a lot of time to be alone together...partly to allow myself some time away from being a full time caregiver, so I went out often while he was here...and also of course to give him alone time with our shared wife. So his visit was good for all of us, especially for Juli.

I so hope she gets better. I’m sorry for her that she lost Brian. It’s too bad that it couldn’t have worked out so she could have you both.

I purposely didn't ask them for details. But he slept in bed with Juli the nights that he was here.

Thanks...I do too.
But Juli is not doing well at all...health wise.
She and I haven't had sex since August.
Brian her boyfriend did visit her for 3 days in January and he did have sex with her while he was here...but otherwise she hasn't felt like it.

It's physical. Which of course has affected her in all ways.
And no she's not energetic even with the grands.

She showed more desire toward Brian but she knew he was here only a short time,. And honestly may be the last time she will get to be with him. So he did sleep in our bed with her for the nights he was visiting. He told me he was very gentle and was careful. He would not even have tried to have sex with her in her weakened condition, but Juli wanted him to.
I'm glad that she did, and that they got to have that intimate time together. It did her good.

I agree, wittol. I don't feel it quite as much as you describe, but it's surprising how hard it hits. We on this forum really grow to care about each other to a surprising degree, even when we've never met.

Oh my God... I am so sorry to hear about Juli ! I lost my first wife following the birth of our daughter so I know how much that sucks. If it's not prying too much, what caused her to die so young?

Time won't heal this wound, but it will make it easier to accept.

Thank you so much.
Juli was diagnosed with a tumor which at first they thought was small and benign, but where it was located is what caused her complications and steady weakening and decline.

Yes, when I first began sharing the experiences that Juli and I were having in this lifestyle,. it was simply a way for me to talk in a forum that was anonymous as I could never of course tell anyone who actually knew me and Juli..or knew Brian.
So what began as just a way of having an outlet to speak about a topic as private as our sex life, turned into a community of friends who have always been so kind and understanding and frankly very helpful.

I had never experienced sharing my wife before in such an intimate way with another man. And to share that journey that literally took years to develop so naturally, has been wonderful for me. Just to be able to be totally open and honest, not just about the details of what went on in our bedroom, but to share how it felt as a husband to be in this situation. I admit I did love it and it never became a burden or something that I regretted.

My Juli was always so wonderful and although she was hesitant at first to give herself to Brian, the sexual giving was less a concern to her than the risk of it turning emotional. Which actually it did. But even then she was careful to maintain a balance between her two men. Brian and I both worked to maintain that balance between each of us and Juli. So it actually worked surprisingly well for over 7 years.

And I truly am thankful that she got to enjoy the love of two men in her life. And Brian and I got to enjoy her love for each of us.

With all that said..yes, it's amazing that the group of people where in this forum can feel like friends, and your expressions of condolences and the feeling of connection is hard to comprehend. But it's wonderful.
