I don't see how it could be 50% of women wanting to do this. Seems like there are a lot struggles on here for that high of a percentage. I do think that if there were absolutely no consequences to it, or if they were never discovered, that many women would do it. However, I think most believe there are too many negative consequences, embarrassment, ruin the relationship.

I don't know if the figure would be over 50%. But, I think the figure would be a LOT higher than the ~4-5% of marriages that are consensual non-monogamy. Looking at https://comparecamp.com/open-marriage-statistics/, there's an alarming figure in there that 67% of women would leave their partners if the partner suggested an open relationship. Of course, that doesn't speak to hot wifing where only the wife plays.

My own wife was 1000000% against the idea of consensual non-monogamy. It wasn't going to happen, she was upset that I'd been involved in it before her, and monogamy was the only way. That was fine with me. I never even suggested non-monogamy before or after we got married. I'd just told her about a prior relationship that involved consensual non-monogamy.
