How long should a wife wait before engaging in sexual intercourse with a new man?

My wife and I were talking about this last night and she asked me if I thought she should make them wait any longer.
I told her that she should do whatever feels right to her in each individual instance.
The way I see it is, if she is ready, and he is ready they should decide if it's time.

I don't think I should have any input into the timing issue. Because this creates an unnatural situation, where a third party is deciding when two other people should engage in sexual intercourse.

Right now she tends to have sex for the first time on the second date.

Typically my wife chats with a guy for a while, then meets for coffee, then starts fucking him. So second date.

Lis has done a lot of guys on the first date, or just gone to bed with guys that picked her up in airports, clubs, or bars - of course she doesn't drink, so if she visits a bar, It's for one thing only.

Every encounter is different. For some It's clear and thrilling chemistry, others take time.

I wasn't sure how to answer the question but chose "first date" because there were no other options that fit my wife's general rule. She most often has no problem with sex when both are interested but, for strangers, she insists on meeting them first at a neutral location like a coffee shop. If she knows them from previous social interactions and trusts them, she sees no reason to put off sex if both want to do it.

I suppose that if she were set up with a blind date, it wouldn't be until at least the second date, but that hasn't been our experience. She took my word about one man I met, but she hadn't, and I knew he was safe, sane and compatible. That was explained in a lengthy write-up I posted here awhile back.

Whats the definition of “Date”. To me our initial meet and greet over coffee or dinner isn’t a date but more of an interview and part of her screening / vetting process.

I think it depends on how she meets the guy. If it's a connection through a website and she doesn't know him, then my wife always meets in a public place first. But if she is having fun with a guy she meets at a party or some environment where she can "assess him" more thoroughly, then she's been known to go for it on the first meeting.

It all depends on the chemistry. Some guys aren't going to make the cut and she generally knows that within the first 30 minutes of a first meeting. We meet new prospects together in a neutral site. We usually arrange afternoon meetings in a quiet bar but only drink coffee. We tried coffee shops but were often surrounded by soccer moms and kids. Not the best environment for this kind of chat.

If a guy passes muster but she isn't quite sure it will go to a second date. About 50 percent of the time, she decides at the first meeting the guy is a go. At that point she will switch from coffee and order a drink. That is my signal to go to the bathroom. While I'm away they work out the details about getting a room or coming back to our place. I get to know my potential lovers/fuckbuddies quite well online, via telephone and cam LONG before I even consider an in person meeting. This process lasts anywhere from 3 to 6 months or longer. the only reason my wife gets beyond talking to a guy is because she's attracted to him and wants to do him, so things usually happen fast
