I sent Dave an email at the request of some members. I got back a blank email reply. So you all might want to click on his email button and send him one to see if he will respond.

Or we could leave him alone and let him live his life as he chooses to?? He owes us nothing. If he wanted to share anything with us, he would. Since he hasn't done so in some time, we can reasonably conclude he does not wish to.

My guess and I hope I am wrong is that with all the back issues he was having the doctors found something bad. Or maybe she dumped him for his step dad. Hope I am wrong tho.

Maybe it is that the story was all pretense, a product of his fantasy and now he has tired of it.

I would put money on this being the case.

1. Always had excuses for not writing.
2. Took days to post what happened as if it was being written in short bursts.
3. Injury came too conveniently that allowed him to just drop out.
4. Long time since any reply but I think he has been checking in to see if people are still talking about it.

The only thing we know for sure is that he has not posted in a long while and this thread was a very good read. The rest is speculation.

Given the many recent posts questioning the authenticity of the story being relayed in this thread, may I please remind the authors of these posts about the forum’s big rule no. 2:
2) Do not question the truth of a post presented as non-fiction. If living this lifestyle has taught me anything, it's that truth is often stranger than fiction and things that would be unrealistically crazy for one person are simply a matter of daily living for another. So if you read a non-fiction story that you don't believe, do NOT get into a pissing match on whether or not the story is true. I've had it done to me (I lived it, I *KNOW* it's true!) and it was highly insulting. So... Don't believe a story? That's fine, just move on to the next thread.
I check this thread regularly to see if Dave is back with news, but it feels like almost every new post is from someone that speculates about the story being true or not. I don't mean to be rude or harsh, but why don't you please create a new thread entitled "The new place for those of us who don't believe CuriousDave’s story in the Wife and my dad thread" and post your arguments there instead?

This story has really kept me on edge and I sincerely hope that Dave will someday be back to continue his story, whatever direction it may have taken. Meanwhile, I do hope that Dave, Jenna and John are all ok.

I agree, V. Validation is not necessary in this forum. All I know, for sure, is that Dave took all of us on one helluva ride. Wish him
well and and hope he is happy...

He doesn't have to check in to check the thread. He just has to check in to post a reply. I sent a PM with no reply yet but am not giving up.

All I can say is wow. Curiousdave's experienced what he wrote about, no doubt about that in my mind. Was he writing about a current fling or recapping a past one, we may never know, but it was a fun ride! All I can add is that wrote about many of the emotions my wife and I experienced with her long term lover, and we all decided it was time to take a little vacation when the "L" word started creating different dynamics.

I hope he did not get meningitis from the steroid medication that has been given for back pain. 197 and counting has been sickened by this tainted shot and 15 has died.

Given the number of cases compared to the number of those treated, odds are he is fine. Sure do miss this thread...hope Dave gets back after his back is better.

wow, what a story! First post here. Followed a link from Reddit.

Is it against the rules to post a pic of the Stay Thirsty guy with a caption I thought of based on this story? lol.
