Quick update.

Jess is definitely a little bit rattled by what happened last Friday.

But apparently not rattled enough to keep from seeing Carlos. He is coming over again this evening.

There has been a rather significant development over the weekend, I guess actually starting on Wednesday with Carlos.

Apparently Jess told Carlos on Wednesday that it was going to be their last time together. She didn’t mention this to me until we were on our drive back to school after spending Easter with family.

But she says she feels like the experimentation we’ve been doing is not what she would want in a marriage. I think she’s interested in figuring out if I can put my desires aside and step up to be the only man in her life, which is how she would want it to be as a wife.

So, for now at least, the extracurricular activity has been put on hold and Jess wants us to focus on what our future together might look like.

So the ball is in my court. I have to decide if I can live without these desires that have been given free rein for a little while.

My strong suspicion here is that Jess wants to learn, before she agrees to marry me, if I will put aside my non-conventional desires in order to put complete priority on our long term relationship and family life. It's hard because you guys are young. I think there is so much, even subconscious, pressure on women to be these monogamous, and vanilla wives (think Disney, etc.).
