Your narrative is very concisely written making the progression of your denial seem very real and inevitable. What was the event, or moment of realization that you knew the point of no return was reached, that you'd lost Marian sexually and I suppose emotionally.

Did you ever try to reverse course and reinstate your position as the main man in Marion's life?

Maybe what I like to read is simply the continuation of the story as it builds to the end point.
