This seems to be what this spambot does. It posts here in new member intros, and replies in one thread (for a total 2 posts - at least in the first few weeks). The text it uses is very generic (e.g. ChatGPT-generated). Then a couple of weeks later, the spam link appears in the sig (as above).

I just banned him. I didn't notice the link until you guys discussed it. Once I saw it I ended it. Hopefully. Thanks.

It's really good seeing the bots get banned. They ruin chatboards more than nasty humans do.
