51 year old married dad. Wife is a 40 year old bbw latina. We’ve been together since around mid 2006 and married almost 15 years.

I think you are right to let her process her thoughts.

You have developed your thinking over a long period of time.
It's very unlikely that she would be able to process things in a matter of days, or even weeks.

A lot of patience is required. Good luck to you.

Thank you. You’re right, it’s been in my head a long while. I’ll continue to be patient and not bring it up until she does first.

Hi.... I wouldn't necessarily wait for her to bring it up first. But I would try to be subtle and careful when you do bring it up. If you wait for her to make the next move or verbal mention of it, then she may start to think that you've lost interest.
It's very difficult to judge, as to how often and when you should bring the topic up. Only you can really judge that from reactions you get.
Though you got a poor reception when you brought it up before, that was probably because of the shock.
Do you share fantasy talk between you?
Would she be ok with you using fantasies to help with your erection difficulties?
