Short and sweet version.
We had been married for 20 years when we separated.
Didn't officially divorce. We raised our kids, led our lives separately.
After the kids moved on with their own lives, we started "dating" and eventually got back together.
One of the sticking points was the sex. Being older, I'm not as veral as I once was.
After some discussion, I brought up the idea of her dating another man who could please her. She's always had a very strong sex drive.
It took awhile for her to come around to the idea and now wants to revisit it.
Looking for ideas for what works and didn't work when you all started this journey.

While you lived separate lives, did you and she have sex upon occasion or regularly? I mean during the time you were raising your kids, not after you started "dating" again. You say that she always had a very strong sex drive, so I assume she was having sex with other men. Did she have a long-term boyfriend, or did she date around? Did she ever share any details of her sex life?

It seems to me if you both had sex lives for all those years, it would be easy to continue it; except since you are slowing down sexually, she can satisfy your sexual needs, and she can also get what she needs from other men.

While we were separated, I had a few "friends with benefits" relationships. She was more exploratory and preferred shorter terms.
As we got closer and began becoming monogamous once again, her biggest hang up was thinking that I wanted to continue seeing others. It took awhile for her to understand and accept the true meaning of being a hot wife.

She has plans to meet up with a male friend from work tonight for dinner. I am not invited.
