My wife got hers pierced last October. I couldn’t touch them for 2 months and couldn’t suck on them until about 4 months. So be prepared to wait It’s been about 8 months now and she feels comfortable swapping out her bars and ends. They still get sensitive and ache from time to time. She thinks they won’t be “fully” healed until 10-12 months. YMMV!

Ann's VCH is fantastic. It looks so pretty but turns her on immensely. When she got it we couldn't have sex for 8 weeks. No hot tubbing, no swimming in a pool. She had to carefully clean it a couple of times per day. It did take a lot of care at the beginning. You do need to have a long enough hood to get it done. Ann got hers done with friends. Five got it and one didn't have a long enough hood (she got her labia pierced instead). To check before you go grab a pencil with an eraser on the end. If you can put the complete eraser inside the hood it should be long enough to be pierced. It is definitely worth the pain and amount of care required. It looks beautiful, keeps Ann constantly aroused and is a great conversation starter at nude beaches, nude pool parties and swinger parties.

OP didn’t say “my sweetie is considering getting her nips pierced and wants to know what people think of intimate piercings”. He say she has decided to do it and wanted to hear from people with experience with them. Whether you think it is dumb is irrelevant to the discussion.

I had experience with a girl I was dating getting her nipples pierced. So, I do have firsthand experience with them. My original comment stands.
