The New Ms. Ch has the same name as the other woman (blondie who has great rack and who was in a Playboy pictorial many years back). This other blondie is fading out of the story because a) she did not like Mr. B; b) she has been traveling and not really around that much and c) SW has decided she doesn't like her and doesn't want her around. So New Ms. Ch was befriended by SW a few weeks ago when we were out at her favorite restaurant (same one we went to on Saturday night) when (a few weeks ago) our group became a bit boisterous and when we stayed late and "closed the place down" there was another group kind of doing the same thing. So we crossed over into their group by saying "we'll send our single blonde (Ms. T) over to you if you'll send yours over to us" and that's how it played out. They bought Ms. T a glass of wine and I got New Ms. Ch her request of a nice tequila. SW got her number; she's tall (I'd say 5'9) and very obviously athletic and outdoorsy. Long blonde hair and a lean muscular body.

[As a funny side note when we ended up with introductions into that group, one of the guys' name is the same as Pinky's Mr. S but it starts with another letter; e.g. Calvin vs. Alvin. So when the names were restated by SW she introduced this guy to me using Mr. S' name by habit/mistake and we had a good inside joke/laugh on that one. I said out loud that SW will not have any difficulty remembering this guy's name for the future.]

SW met up with New Ms. Ch briefly the following week and it turns out she moved into the area recently, having decided to get a divorce from her husband (the Covid siege proved to them they are no longer compatible). So she is building her new social circles, spending a lot of time in a new competitive sport and also at the local upscale big-box fitness place.

She got invited by SW to our dinner kind of as a later choice (I'd suggested her as a higher priority but SW demurred at the time). SW wanted to see if she and Mr. B might have a spark.

That's why I made sure the seating arrangement fell how it did. SW next to Mr. G and New Ms. Ch next to Mr. B.

Not sure about any spark but I do know that SW did follow up with Mr. B to see what he thinks about her.

- Mr. G's wife is from the East Coast (as is he) and she has family back there. With travel easing up, perhaps she will travel on her own more often? They do run this fitness boutique together, so someone has to run the business while the other travels.

- Mr. G gave no (zero) energy or interest or conversation to the New Ms. Ch. But she was seated farthest away from him. His smalltalk was dominated by SW.

- Mr. G and Mr. B were also seated far enough apart that they didn't have any real conversation. Again, Mr. G was occupied by SW. Mr. B was occupied by New Ms. Ch and by me, and also by Ms. F who was seated to his immediate left, and whom he knows well enough by now. I can't say they "avoided" each other but they did not engage at all with each other, even after we left the table and walked outside.

Given that I'd gone early to meet up with Mr. B for cocktails, I had my own car. SW wasn't drinking so she was fine to drive herself. When the dinner was over (we did close the place down), we all said goodbye and separated to our cars. SW and Mr. G apparently had both parked in the underground structure, while the others of us were out on the street. I watched SW and Mr. G go down the escalator and wondered if they might linger or anything. But I did go directly home and SW was already there, doing her pre-sleep preparations. So no lingering.

Update on SW's trip home to Midwest. She was in Pinky mode, as you'll see. But not able to close any deal.

She called me last night at least four times approximately every half hour beginning 12:30 a.m. (her time) She was drunk dialing from her hotel room, having spent the evening and night alone. This was exactly the thing she did not want to do, and why she pushes the idea of a boyfriend in that area, so he can take her out (and in) on a Saturday night. She was "sad drunk" this time.

(I believe she'd kept her Saturday night open with the expectation that she would get together with one of her guys, either Mr. M or Mr. S.)

Mr. M. She'd reached out to him some days prior to traveling, spoke with him on the phone for about a half hour. He's apparently still tight with his young girlfriend and continues to be nervous about any in-person meetup with Pinky, lest he jump her bones. She reminded him on Friday that she is in town and the usual pattern is that she has to press him and ultimately he works out a time to get together. But not this time (not yet at least).
