Rather ironically, my local waste center no longer accepts recyclables. They stopped when China stopped buying it from the US. There also is a charge for household waste, either by weight or a flat rate.

There is a documentary about recycling on Netflix. Very little plastic actually got recycled. Only big high quality plastic like laundry detergent. The rest wasn't economically viable. Now, even less since Asia quit taking the western world's waste.

I also would be happy for longer more complete posts. I am a little confused about the timeline. If in your first post of the weekend you indicated the three of them were in your room while you were writing. Did it start off with the three and them you were invited later? It didn’t seem that way in your second post. I also noted an unusual number of typos for you. Yeah, I get that. I commonly leave my wife alone with (whoever) and did that more than once during their visit. That's a good example of what I mean about not including every detail. What came before didn't seem important at the time I posted that and wasn't then ready to tell more anyway. There were things I didn't see between her and him or the three of them. I had anticipated hearing about those times last night but we were having sex and I didn't get around to it.

I have typos often and those even appear in published novels after a first reader and at least one editor have gone through them (but editing is a complicated task). I type pretty fast as memories occur to me and I sometimes surprise myself I don't have more of those. Thanks for writing, Tracey.

To the readers of this thread....

You know, Des just posted a wonderful and exciting update to his thread!! We all enjoyed the story and most of us wish we could have been involved in some manner however that just isn't possible, but we enjoyed it. A lot of folks, me included, asked a lot of questions about the activities and all kinds of things and told him that he shouldn't worry about how much he writes or how long his posts are. But I was just thinking, I'm pretty sure Des has a REAL life and things to do in that real life that compete with the time it takes for him to write all of this down for us to enjoy and post here for us. I, for one who asks a lot of questions, was thinking that wanting him to write more for us may actually take some of the thrill out of posting for him if we expect more from him in his posts. The last thing I would want to have happen is for him to see his "reporting" and the comprehensiveness as a chore or something he has to do. That could cause him to want to post less in frequency and in content or maybe even quit posting at all. I think a lot of us have become used to seeing his frequent posts and again, I for one, look forward to them.

The purpose of my post today is to remind us all that his posting takes time from his real life, even though he types pretty fast!! I'm pretty sure there are multiple reasons he writes and shares his story but that is not for me to address. I appreciate his efforts to write!! I know too well how a passion can turn into a chore. I just want to express that to him and to you readers. Although it may be difficult for me, I'm going to try to not be so "demanding" of his time and try to not fire so many questions to him. But I've failed at self-improvement before! So, in addition to the usual "Thanks for the great update, Des!" I want to say to him in a real heart felt way.... THANK YOU!!!!
