I love you, Ares. I might have to reconsider and ask you to be in a polyamorous marriage with me, too

I suspect it won't be all that much of a surprise that the person I am talking about is Henry. He's been with us through the whole giant mess which has been my life for the past two years, he loves kiddo and kiddo loves him, and I don't know what I'd do without him. Oh- and we have freaking awesome sex and kink

I'm a little anxious about the whole thing given that my last marriage was such a disaster which has pretty much showed me that anyone can change so who knows. But part of me still believes in forever... so I don't know.

I won't say I hadn't been thinking about it for quite some time now, but I didn't plan to propose! Then we were cuddled up in bed in the middle of the night after a stressful day, and it just kind of happened. It took him a few minutes to realize what I was actually asking him but he was so happy. He's never been married before and I didn't realize it was as important to him as it obviously is. I have to be careful because I know I don't want to go all out and be crazy like I did on my first wedding but I also want to make sure it's still special for him and that I don't rain on his parade because it's not my first, you know? And marriage still does have meaning for me- it just also scares me after this clusterf*ck.

And nobody tames me We're still gonna be open and poly and whatever the heck we want. We're going to a swingers' party for New Year's

Now wait a minute there. I fully expect to be along for the ride. This is going to be one hell of a big poly marriage! Is there any limit to the number of partners in a poly marriage?

Forever kind of scares me. xH used to say forever and that relationship lasted 14 years. My mom even teased Henry that he has a shelf life which made me uncomfortable but I am sure I am not the only one with a crazy parent.

But, Henry has been one of the only bright spots in the past two years and I do love him. He says he can see us staying together... I am more gun shy for obvious reasons. But I guess a part of me can see it too, or I wouldn't have proposed. After all, that's on me LOL.

Yeah, there are a lot of positives. Henry is a big cuddler and yes we do try and stay warm because it gets bloody cold here!

But seriously, yeah, there's a lot of practical reasons although we could just live together... but marriage is something that matters to me and it obviously does to him, too.

Well, my sex drive is back so I felt like writing about a party we went to. Feels like I haven't written anything sexy in a long time, but this one will be fun to read back on. Hope you enjoy and feel free to share it

Not so much going on lately... just wrapping up loose ends and such.

Henry and I decided not to have a traditional pre-wedding party. In our neck of the woods it's cultural to have a pre-wedding bash that's bigger than the actual wedding so you can celebrate in a low key and fun way with all the people you probably can't invite to your wedding. More of a community thing than just friends and family. People here often use them for fundraising- you sell tickets, feed people, have a cash bar, and play silly games.

Instead of doing that, we decided to stay true to ourselves and we're having a kinky party instead I'm looking for a sexy, slinky dress to wear to that. I think we are going to have a lot of fun! Now that's how I want to celebrate my engagement- with fucking and BDSM play and voyeurism. We're probably going to have that in the fall, and we're getting married next spring.

Still working on planning the post wedding shenanigans, too! I was saying to a friend that we can have a quiet night at home anytime. We're going to go party on our wedding night! It's just a question of will it be a swinger's club with Just Married signs, or a BDSM party, or something else maybe?

SO, I haven't been around much lately but there hasn't been too much exciting going on. Everyone's been sick off and on and busy with real life stuff.

We finally got back on the horse this past Saturday and went to our favourite BDSM party. It was an awesome time and reminded me how much I need to go out to get my mojo back!

Henry and I have finished the planning to throw a party of our own in September. Too bad this isn't a local group It's going to be amazing and I can't wait, even though it will be a lot of work. And I still need to find something to wear!

Life has been pretty good- Henry and I visited a swinger's club lately and had good times

Henry will be out of town for a few weeks for a camping festival. Camping is really not my thing so I'll be staying home with air conditioning and a nice comfy bed.
