I'd tread carefully with this idea. If you plan on putting a covert camera outside your home or maybe in a hallway to document anyone visiting the house, you're probably okay. But if you hide a camera anywhere where one has an expectation of privacy (e.g., bedroom, etc.), you're likely violating privacy laws.
