Had an idea that got me thinking of asking here. I wonder if anyone has written in marker or something on the wife's ass before she goes over to a friend's. Something along the lines of

"<friend's name>'s HotWife"

and maybe

For good quality video, concentrate on a steady camera and good lighting. There are metal outdoor lighting fixtures at Home Depot which can installed in place of your room lighting, right on the ceiling. These fixtures can be turned into a sort-of at-home stage lighting with low wattage LED bulbs.

When installed, it almost looks like a mini-version of theater lighting. Lightly spray paint the fronts of the LED bulbs (take them outside) to add warm coloring. Use a dimmer instead of an on-off switch on the wall and you have a mini version of a movie set.

From there, add one of those Milky-way Galaxy star projectors. Always film at night so you have complete control of the lighting.

Never, ever think you are going to produce good quality videos without editing. Invest in a powerful computer, it takes a ton of computer power these days to edit the HD that a typical camera (or phone) produces.

You absolutely don't need fancy lights, but any camera is going to give a better image when there's light. So if it doesn't kill the mood for the participants be sure to turn on room lights (and avoid pointing the camera towards bright windows, because then the auto exposure will make what's in the room look dark).

One of the things that's important to look for in a camera is a wide angle lens. Go pro stuff seems a popular choice. I have one of the zoom q2n-4k cameras, which has been very good. doesn't need a tripod, just set it on a table or a dresser. really not hard to get a good video quality these days. Harder to get good sound quality really and that's the main difference between good video and bad a lot of the time.
lighting wise, just make sure that the brighter light source is behind the camera and not behind the people, so you don't end up with silhouettes.
as far as script/setup/situation etc... that all comes down to your own kinks, I think.
