Recently, i was in a neighborhood bar. When I sit at a bar by myself, I usually ignore everyone around me. This time was no different. I sat there, eyes glued to a basketball game. A very pretty blonde woman, who appeared to be approximately 40, sat to the right of me. Her husband, who appeared to be much older than her, stood behind her.

I could see out of the corner of my eye that she kept glancing in my direction. Finally, she literally turned facing me and stared at me. I pretended not to notice. Finally, she touched my arm and asked who I was routing for. I told her that a friend used to play for one of the teams. He died recently, so I was routing for his old team in his honor.

So far, none of this is remarkable. What was remarkable was that when she talked to me, her husband appeared to have a reaction. Why? I'm not sure. There was nothing sexual about our conversation at all. As she talked to me he started rubbing her back and shoulders more and more.

The things that occur to me are:

1. The guy was jealous. If so, why didn't he jump into the conversation? Why did he let his wife sit next to me?
2. I was inadvertently part of the start of their journey into hotwifing. Maybe he was turned on watching his wife talk to another guy.
3. They were husband and wife serial killers and I narrowly dodged a bullet.

I've seen them in that bar a couple of times and they always try to sit near me.

I think the problems occurs when we don't speak up about what we want. It's a dangerous, unpredictable world.

Serial killer, you dodged a bullet………maybe…… but don’t think so.

I think she was flirting with her husbands approval. Not all guys are cuckolds, some just love seeing their woman happy and having safe male/female fun. Engage her in conversation, don’t forget to include husband for some just to gauge his interest and her response. My sense is they will appreciate the banter and maybe feel some chemistry. They were playing, having fun, hoping you would join in.

Chris, based on your comments it sounds to me like she’s attracted to you. They may be playing a game with limits, or they may want to get to know you better.

Why not just begin by casually speaking up like you mentioned? If they want more, it sounds like the wife is confident enough to say something. If she does look at the husband and consider asking him if he’s ok with it.

If you get creeped out game over. If it develops and the three of you trust each other and become FWB’s game on.

Anytime you sit in a public place, be sure to have your back to a wall.

Be sure you can see the front door from where you are sitting.

I think you could get laid. Why not talk to them a bit more when you see them. Ask her questions about her and her husband. See what happens.

I agree with D+D. Next time look for signs like the anklet he mentioned or any visible tattoos or how revealing her outfit is. Most likely she's just more outgoing than her husband. Next time make more small talk. See if the husband/bf joins in on the conversation.
