I haven't endeavoured to define sex session, but I'll nonetheless do my best to offer my own view of what would constitute a continuous sex session:

First of all, I'd normally only characterize a session of sexual intimacy as a "sex session" if it included intercourse, at least at some point during the session.

With that said, I'd consider a sex session to be continuous as long as elements of sexual intimacy and arousal continue. I wouldn't consider a session to have concluded simply due to a bathroom break, a trip to the kitchen for a drink, or briefly recovering in bed together.

I would, however, consider a session to have concluded in the event of more-than-momentary sleep or break for a meal.

For example: Collapse together in post-orgasmic exhaustion, and resume devouring each other again moments later -- ongoing session. But fall asleep together, and then an hour later wake up and spontaneously start fucking again -- new session.

Btw, here's an example of what I mean by a repetitive-sex marathon: A couple of years ago my wife was visited by an admirer she'd met and had an intense fling with during a trip she'd previously taken. His days-long visit with her was extremely sexual (I was away), but one particular day exemplifies the point I want to make: They playfully agreed to stay inside all-day long -- no clothes allowed -- for a deliberately erotic day of sex (as opposed to intermittent sex like their other days together). Although they weren't literally connected nonstop (and they certainly took time for nice meals), there were few moments throughout they day that they weren't either making love or about to again. So, I wouldn't call that a single sex session (they had many that day), but I would call it a 1-day repetitive-sex marathon -- basically a specific way of reasonably saying they fucked all day long. (Although that example involves rather deliberate circumstances, most such characterizations I've heard -- like "we fucked for three days" -- seem to involve spontaneous NRE-charged circumstances.)

We have had a few long sessions with other cpls and singles. When we had friends over for the night, sex could go on till the early hours. Often stop for a drink and change partners. Sometimes I would go to get drinks and come back to see a friend fucking my wife for the 3rd or 4th time.
We did a few weekends and longer away with other couples and singles. These would involve many sex sessions each day.

There is not the slightest doubt in my mind that my wife could fuck all night long. Her routine is usually around two hours, she'll want to relax in bed for as long as 30 minutes. But you gotta keep in mind that my wife and I view sex as a full contact sport. She's not a tender loving girl. She fucks like a porn star. Often I'm amazed at her physical (muscular, not sexual) stamina. Prolonged blowjobs can cause her neck and jaw to become sore, but I've never seen her quit before swallowing a wad.

Prior to meeting my wife, my longest uninterrupted session happened with a captivating young woman I'd occasionally seen and longingly admired from afar. I finally crossed her path one evening, (deliberately) en route to a restaurant bathroom, and nervously asked for her number. Turned out she'd been harbouring a mutual crush, and was comfortable meeting at my place for our first date. She arrived at dinnertime, and carnal attraction overwhelmed us. We were desperately making love within about half an hour, and alternately rode and devoured each other nonstop until I had to get ready for work at 5 or 6 am. Indescribable chemistry, increasingly unstoppable the longer we fucked — agonizing to decouple even after 9 or 10 straight hours.

Regarding the question of multiple-session sex marathons, the longest I can think of are occasions when I fell asleep with someone after a passionate night of sex and then spent the next day almost entirely in bed together in sexual bliss, fucking over and over again, and perhaps the following morning too.

I'm unsure how my beautiful wife would answer that question. Like me, and with me, she's certainly spent entire days mostly having sex, but whether she'd say she's spent two or three straight days fucking someone probably depends on her interpretation of the question. Although she says the most sex she's ever had in a single week was with the admirer I mentioned in the OP, and on one particular day of that week they purposely stayed in for all-day sex -- fucking in every room, long list of experimental positions, hours of intimate lovemaking -- there were also days when they went out and did other stuff too.
