Well, you can get a lot more STDs from unprotected vaginal/anal intercourse than you can from oral, so I would assume that's why there's a dichotomy.

The very few times my Goddess has allowed other men inside her (twice over the last 20 yrs as far as I know), she has never used protection. As a rule protection is a must. But with two long time / trustworthy lovers the glove came off.
