I would also have a problem with donating my DNA, to some people who might be motivated merely by some twisted sexual fantasy. No matter what story they are told, kids produced by such an arrangement, will inevitably search their DNA one day, and find out that possibly they were a product of some fetish game.

I would only be comfortable bringing my genetic progeny into a world where I was there to raise them and care for them, and direct how their life might go.

Before there was DNA testing, there are all kinds of families who have done things like adopt kids but never tell the kids that they were adopted.
There have been families who have a more stable sister raise her niece or nephew for her unstable sister, never telling the kids that their mom is their aunt their aunt is their mother.
Or there have been 30-year-old grandmothers raising their grandchild for their 15-year-old daughter, and the kid never knowing that their mother was their grandmother, and their much older sister is their birth mother.

But now, with so many people doing DNA testing, kids will find out, if they have been lied to about who their real biological parents are. This breeds a lot of disappointment, resentment, anger, and feelings of betrayal.

I care a lot about kids. They are the future. I believe every kid deserves parents, but not every parent deserves kids...
