It's too easy to generalize and personal preferences influence what is acceptable and what isn't. One of the things that this forum and news outlets share is a propensity to dwell on the extremes. For whatever reason we are drawn to the outliers, the minorities of the greater community.

Everyone does what they do in their own way. No one is truly locked in to a specific evolution. I'm sure some want to suggest there is a predictable progression because they want to "normalize" their behavior.
