I stumbled onto this site a few days ago, and quickly bumped into this thread. It was such a well-written read, I took the time to sign up so that I could make a few comments. First, the story was captivating. Really hard to pull away from. Second, I wanted to add a few thoughts from an Alpha perspective:
I've been in a handful of very long-term relationships as the other man, and as they become long-term (in my experience) they always tend toward falling in love. I think it is natural for a bull or Alpha and a woman to edge toward an emotional connection if it is more than a one-nighter. But I've also never let it get out of control and blow up a couple's marriage. In the case of this particular story, we all know the "dad" was not originally aware and he isn't blood with anyone involved. But Goddammit, this was his SON'S WOMAN. The ONLY person at fault in this historical record is the dad. He showed an utter lack of self control when he stepped across that line. This could have been a wonderful, lifetime relationship, and instead he now has lost his son. Nothing whatsoever stands out to me as being wrong with what happened here other than this father's weakness and selfishness.
