Folks, I am back! The original plan before we left to Italy was to stay at our in-laws till Sunday after we are back but last minute change of plans and I am home while Lauren is with her friends. She will be coming home tomorrow.

Italy was marvelous. It was everything that I wanted it to be and more. The trains were amazing. Seeing the dolomites for the first time was so exhilarating. I rode the frecciarossa trains, ate so much pasta with ragu chingiale, ragu cervo, pizza, zuppa, polenta and so many more. We also met lot of trail runners from Germany, Austria and France. We were also running up and down the mountains in Trento and Alto Adige. We stayed in Rifugios and went from one rifugio to another. We met so many Americans in Italy. I also logged some 20 miles one day with altitude change of around 8000ft. (trail running + hiking). Lauren tried via ferrata. Italian hot chocolate is weird but their tiramisu is top notch and surprisingly cheap. Their breakfast scene needs lot of improvement. Why are they eating desserts for breakfast?

It was too good and I am kicking myself for not going sooner. We will go back again soon. Sorry for rambling on about Italy. You guys don't care about that.

Now for the things you all care about, we didn't have any sex as we were either too tired or stayed in the rifugios. So nothing sexual happened.

This drives me nuts when I'm there. Espresso and a sweet pastry for breakfast. That's it. No yogurt, no eggs, no fruit, no toast, no meat. It's all croissants that are either filled with chocolate or custard. Even the plain croissants are sprinkled with sugar on top. How is everyone so thin and gorgeous there?

Oh and I learned quickly not to order an "americano". It has to be "cafe americano". Ordering just "americano" means your literally ordering an American. Or a cocktail called "americano".

On the plus side, at least in Milano, cafes are open a lot earlier now (like 7). So I'm not waiting until 8 or 9 for my morning caffeine fix.

No. She didn't speak with Adam that much. He texted her a couple of times but she told him before leaving that she wouldn't be able to talk to him a lot. She did text him a few times a couple of days before were we about to come back.

We didn't really discuss about future. most of the day we spent thinking about the next day hike. I didn't like how grimy things go when we were hiking from hut to hut.

To be fair, we finally asked a hotel to cook us eggs because we couldn't have another homemade torta. There is yogurt and cereal but I did miss the American breakfast sandwiches.
