We are a couple in our late forties and live in a COLA relationship since we both have kids, and circumstances. From the beginning I have always been open about being interested in sharing, and even told her that cuckolding was something that I was interested in (but not essential). She said it was not really her cup of tea, and I was fine with that. Fast forward about two years and she was willing to try it. After few experiences alone, and one where I watched, she hooked up with a lover and they met about once a month for a year and a half.
We went through some rough times later (not related to her having a lover) about 4 years ago and I kind of asked her to stop seeing her lover so we could focus on us, and she was happy to do that. We worked on our relationship and we came out on top and are stronger than ever. We have not really talked about starting again and I think that she kind of thought that period was over, and I was kind of afraid it was also.
Which brings us to a telephone conversation yesterday. She is spending the weekend at a resort that provides some kind of philosophical mindfulness therapy/course and there are over 100 people attending. It is quite nice and she got it as a gift from her family, all included accommodations and everything. On her trip over there (she had to be there early and had stayed at a B&B close by) I called her and we talked a bit, I jokingly said at some point that she might get "lucky" tomorrow night (this evening), and we laughed a bit. This seems to have been the "seed" she needed and she called me this morning and REALLY wanted to hear more about it.
So I just told her straight out that if she wanted, and there was someone there that she fancied, I would be willing to return to the old rules of her being allowed to have some fun. I could hear it on her voice that she was thrilled with that permission... so, she is there now and I am at home really hoping that she gets lucky
