So not counting someone that marries into step children. But how many men either want their wife to get pregnant by her bull, already have, or don't know who's child they are raising and don't care? FWIW, my wife and I do not have kids and as it turns out we weren't able to, so this never became an issue in the end.

However, we did discuss the issue, at length, before we finally pulled the plug. This issue has a high potential for very fraught problems, especially in light of the easy access to DNA tests these days and the potential future ramifications of a child realizing they are not the true progeny of who they thought was their father. Initially, I was dead, dead against the thought.

WIth all of that said, I can tell you what conclusion we finally arrived at. Having talked it out altogether we came to the view that the mother's child is a child of the family. As a cuckold who has encouraged my wife to live this lifestyle it would be morally irresponsible to, on the one hand, encourage her to have sex with other men, only to demand that the consequences of that sex (if resulting in pregnancy) be swept aside without any consideration as to her feelings about it.

In the end we decided that it was her decision, and that IF she got pregnant, and IF it belonged to a lover and IF she chose to go ahead and have it, that I would fully support that decision.

Easy for me to take the moral high ground and say this is what I would have done when I haven't had to live with the actual situation, but I can honestly say that I was fully prepared to accept this and had it transpired this way I did in the end agree this was the most moral and responsible approach.

The most common one I think of - she has another man's child; and then later on, for whatever reason, her marriage ends. The ex-husband takes her to court and the Judge orders a paternity test. The child is (obviously) not his, so, good luck tagging the ex-husband for child support, and unless you can track down the bull, who may or may not be still around, she's on her own with a kid, and no child support. Not an ideal situation. Then, how does she answer the kid when he/she grows up and asks about his father. Good luck with that one.

OR, take my situation. I didn't find out until I was in my mid-late 40's that there was some seriously BAD medical history on my mother's side of the family; an illness that has afflicted my mother's cousins, my cousin's; and my cousin's children. Suppose I had been a bull and impregnated one or more women? Then, when the kid/kids gets to a certain age, when certain mental illness surface....OOPS!

While it sounds like a scorching-hot fantasy; and while some people have been able to make it work, I would not touch this with a ten-foot pole. There are just too many ways for things to go wrong, and in the end, who pays? Not the bull. He's done his part. More often than not, it's going to be the kid or kids.

Apart from the cheating of course, there is no difference in practice between what you said, and a woman who has a one-night stand, gets pregnant from it, and decides to keep the baby, then later marries another man who loves and accepts the responsibility of being a father to that child -a step father. It happens every day.

No one knows the generational medical history of the people we become romantic with. You would need to request DNA evaluations before any relationship is consummated. Who does that? Many people don't even know the issues they have passed down from past generations. That information usually comes much later.

When we met, we were more like buddies and friends - and we spent our free time together. Sexual attraction or anything like that was secondary. We got on very well and then moved in together.
