Would you take her last name?

My marriage to Karen meets the textbook definition of an FLR (female led relationship), sexually and in almost every other way. One thing we’ve never discussed is my taking her last name, but I can’t think of a greater act of submission. Is it something you would do?

Knowing what I have become now I would not hesitate to take her last name. This way ever would know I have become the ultimate cuckold.

I ran into the last name issue with my girlfriend my senior year of high school. Her first name rhymed with my last name and that was enough for her to break us up. I told her I would happily take her name, but she wasn't going to go for it. That was back in the late 60's before people started using hyphenated last names.

So why not do it now, Pauline?
A simple trip to the courthouse for all of you who voted, "Yes".

It not that simple to change your name after the fact. When you get your marriage license and you get married by clergy or judge is easy but changing your name after requires a FBI background check in case someone is trying to hide from the law and notice published in case any creditor's who are owed money so they can file a claim. IRS and Social Security also gets involved. There may be a few other steps. It's not real hard to do but it also takes time to go through the process.

I didn’t think it was a big deal anymore and nothing to do with submission, more to do with family situation and maybe history.
I’ve known a couple where they took the female family name so it wouldn’t die out. Others hyphenated their names are chose a name that combined parts of each.

I wouldn't change my surname but my wife has legally changed hers to @@@@@@ (her live in boyfriends surname hyphenated with mine #######. She has changed her licence, passport, insurances, electoral roll, gym membership, car registration etc to her new hyphenated. She is a teacher and announced that she now wants to be called Mrs @@@@@ - #####.
I get erect everytime I hear her introduce herself to people as Ann @@@- #####.

My Wife has recently broached this matter with me. We will have been married ten years in 2026, and as part of a renewal of vows ceremony I am to become [my sissy name] [her surname]. So honored that she willl let me do this!

Please send my most sincere and admiring regards to Your Superior Wife for initiating this change.
It does clearly send a message about who is in Charge in Her marriage and your role in it.
Very sweet of Her to enable you to demonstrate your submission and devotion to Her by accepting this change.
I sincerely hope your little sissy-dick will swell in its cage as you renew your wows to Her.
Sincerely
elina

Thank you! I'm really excited to do this. She hasn't addressed me by my birth name in so long, it's almost as irrelevant as my useless little sissy clit.

I'll admit I'm unaware of the details and legal procedures for having a "legal" name change. I can't imagine it's something simple and done in an instant. I loathe bureaucracy and the institutions associated with them, like the DMV or the transfer of property titles. It's always a cumbersome, tedious ordeal and not something I look forward to.
I realize that for wives they have to change their drivers licenses and insurances and it's an accepted norm. I suppose the thrill is in making the husband experience their cultural subordination by their own submission. I would also guess that at the outset of that name change there would be a lot of teasing and reinforcement. My instinct tells me that over time the impact of a legal name change would fade. It would return to only affecting you in legal instances (ie signing legal documents).
My reason for not seeing this as a draw is that it feels like it falls into "my category" of "Fun for a while!" I just think the newness/thrill/shame would be short lived. I think I would probably just learn to accept it and continue on. Like I said, this is just me personally, everybody has their kinks. If it's more about systematically stripping a man of any and all his masculinity than it is about sex and actual sexual activities and behaviors, then it is a turn off for me.
I've had plenty of the mental/emotional anguish just trying to get my wife to relax suppressing her sexuality in general. I'm not stimulated by frustration. The name change thing is a public pledge of subordination, escalated by being public, and for those that thrive on the mental/emotional to derive their sexual satisfaction. That's all fine too! It's fair to reasonably say it's not for everyone.
I am curious to know what the results or associated behaviors have you men that HAVE done a name change witnessed or experienced? Does it lose its potency and impact over time like I think it would?

I find this intriguing. Will you renew your vows in front of others so that your submission to your dominant wife is made public? If so how many will be there?

Will there ever be a formal ceremony for this name change establishing him as her second husband? Is he dominant over you? I notice his name is first. Is there significance in who’s name is first or second?

Hi,
We did have a commitment ceremony last year which was beautiful. Lifestyle friends plus vanilla friends or would understand and accept of choices were invited. No James is not dominant over me. Things I do are because of my deep love for Ann.
I wanted my surname to be last as it always has been since we married.
