Snippets of Lust

So I'm working on my writings skills and I'd like to tap into the most sensual parts of this genre that we all so dearly love. I'm gonna try to keep them brief so let me know what everyone thinks. Each snippet will cover a moment, and I'm sure we can all write our, so share what you can!


"Erotic, lust, anticipation, guilt, sensuality, chaos, climax....these were some of the feelings I felt when I glared at him. My expression faded from one of joyful exuberance following a night of laughter, casual exchanging of ideas, and a few flirtatious phrases.

But now, we were in a different space, a quiet and quaint bedroom, dimly lit to capture the essence of what it was that we were about to do. I never thought I'd be here. I'd never thought, as a wife, that I'd be with another man, let alone one who my husband had approved of.

And as those thoughts reached the height of my mind, my body simmered into the moment, eyes on eyes, soul on soul...I could feel his fingertips...smooth, warm, beginning to slowly trace the sides of my waist and thighs. My hands, slowly tracing his chest, his pecks, his shoulders. The feeling of his collar bones met my thumbs. We were trapped in a moment in time and I wanted it to last forever.

I wanted him...I wanted him more than my husband. I wanted tonight to be more than anything I could have imagined. I wanted him to to bring new meaning to all of those words that raced through my mind. I wanted what I was about to receive, for passion had never entered my life the way it would that night."

It speaks in a unique style to a lot of what I read here. It rides the balance between rich vocabulary and too much. I quite like it. I look forward to reading more.
