Gentlemen (and Ladies):

For a small personal project, I Had an idea this evening. For anyone interested, I would appreciate the creative and humorous nature of those who would often frequent this section of the site.

I have a few very sexy, (anonymous) and appropriately demure photos of my wife that look as though they were shot for a book magazine.

I was looking at them this evening and realized they would be awesome to use in creating a faux magazine cover for a make-believe hotwife magazine. Completely tongue in cheek, but sexy all the same.

What I was hoping for would be a group effort to come up with some creative magazine names for a make-believe hotwife/vixen months magazine in the style of Playboy or Penthouse from back in the day. (Hotwife Magazine being a default but woefully unoriginal. Ha

In addition to the magazine, what would be some features and articles on the cover? Think Playboy. They had the seasonal fashion editions, pigskin predictions, 20 Questions with celebrities, “Girls of the Big 10”....etc. LOL. What would we want to see on the cover enticing us to buy the initial copy of “Vixen Quarterly” or whatever.....

I can do the layout and design in photoshop. I just thought it would be fun to see how clever and witty we can be with the fake name and fake content.

If I can get some input, I will design and post a finished cover on my thread in the hotties section.

Hard to compete with free content (reddit). Such a magazine would sell based on original content as PBF was describing.

Certainly a regular column on BDSM, hotwife of the month, readers forum (penthouse letters), ask a hotwife, etc.

Well, I’m sure there is a certain group that could appreciate such a product, but IMO, magazines are dying like dinosaurs.

Plus, I’m the furthest thing from a publisher. Ha

No, I’m just playing here with a concept. Hoping the creative writers here might assist just a tad.

I've made an ongoing series of covers in the past called "Modern Hotwife". Some edge over into cuckolding, and some a bit more tame. Seasonal titles like Christmas and Halloween are fun. I've made about 20 covers using mostly glamour/nude models found online - none of my wife. The secret is finding pics with enough empty border for text so it doesn't cover the image. Much of my text mimics the naughty and suggestive found on Playboy's covers. I've been a Playboy fan since early adolescence, and have over 60 years of mags in my collection. Still trying to complete it...

That all sounds fantastic.

As evidenced by my username, I have a lifelong affinity for Playboy also.

If I may be so bold as to brag just a tad.....In 1989 PB was having an anniversary Playmate Hunt....35 years i believe. Anyway, I sent in a few of my wife’s swimwear modeling photos. A few months later I received a letter saying that she was not selected as the anniversary Playmate, but they would like her to test shoot as a regular Playmate. To this day one of my most fond memories.

Since my wife had not authorized the submission, I hid the letter and counted my lucky stars that she didn't pick up the mail that day. Hahahaha. Then, About two months later, another one came with the same request! I dodged two bullets.

I did not tell her for close to fifteen years. I still have the letters and they are prized. Embossed Playboy letterhead and all. In all honesty, it haunts me now because I wish more than anything i had chanced it and told her what an opportunity “we” had.

Recently, thanks to social media i made the acquaintance with a former Playboy photographer who I remember well. I was able to share my little brush with the magazine with him, He was quite surprised as I knew the names of the photo department assistants that had requested her to pose. The photographer instructed me to tell my wife that she missed the “opportunity of a lifetime”. Of that, i am quite certain. In fact, he said that at that time in his career, it would have been quite likely that he would have been assigned to do the Playmate test as he did a lot of those. Small world.

Ken Marcus is still around, and I think Arny Freytag - all great masters of that 8x10 Deardorff monster camera. Would love to get my hands on a few of those 8x10 transparencies. Your wife should be proud - what was her reaction when you finally told her?

Oh, if I remember correctly, she just rolled her eyes a little and chuckled, same as she does now that I have the letter framed. Ha.

In truth, I had asked her about it back in the day and she said she wasn't interested because she would likely lose her job, and her family in a small town would have been affected, etc, etc.

Honestly, she wasn’t opposed to posing herself. It was all the BS that would have come from being published. she posed in very little for several photographers over the years so it was not about being a prude or anything. I was only concerned that she would be pissed about the sneaky submission I did without her approval. That, was my worry.

Many Playmates were aspiring actresses doing whatever they could to make a name from themselves. My wife never had any interest in being famous nor infamous. 1990 was a different world and she would have caught hell at work. Playmates made $25k for a centerfold pictorial, but for small-town girls still living int the small town that would have been quite the notoriety...bad and good.

They always say on your death bed you regret the things that you didn't do, far more than those that you did. I can already see that is likely true.

Pozar and Cassilli were more 60’s and 70’s if I remember correctly. By the 1990’s it was Wayda, Fegley, Mecey and others. All terrific talents.

As usual with anything i write, I second-guess my phrasing and this was tough because it has to fit in a certain space.
