Re: xleglover - I want to give everyone an update
In HFMG and FWFFG I equate Ricky to Scott. Jen is infatuated with Ricky in HFMG. Jen is infatuated with Scott in FWFFG. At one time Jen compares Ricky to Chocolate. To paraphrase: When Jen was young, she was addicted to chocolate. So, she gave the chocolate to a friend, and she didn't think about the chocolate. When she would visit the friend with the chocolate, she would eat the chocolate. However, she never stopped thinking about Mike. When she was with Ricky, she never stop thinking about Mike. When she was with Drums, she never stop thinking about Mike. When he went to California, she never stopped thinking about Mike. Mike was confused by her non sequitur. You're talking about candy. What does candy have to do with us? Because Ricky is like chocolate, if he's here I'm sexually attracted to him. But when he's not here, I don't think about him. You're not chocolate Mike. I never stopped thinking about you, because you matter and you're the only one that matters. I'd say Ricky and Scott are chocolate. Mike said it once that Jen treats sex like men. She is more like her father and there can be only one rooster in the hen house. Jen can play as much as she wants because Mike is her safe harbor. Jen and Mike serve each other's fetish. She likes to cheat and have extramarital affairs. Mike likes her to cheat as long as she tells him. And there is no timeline on her confessions. He likes her to have boyfriends as long as she doesn't fall in love with them. Mike can share her body but he can't bear to share her love. Mike tells Allie; he can't satisfy her libido, she needs more than he can provide sexually. He allows her; he wants her to play at their game because he can't bear to lose her. He'd die without her. He sublimates his jealousy for angst and his love for her to his love foer her happiness. Plus, he kinda, sorta likes her badness, her lustiness, her unabashed sexuality.
Jennifer is not a naive young woman. She seduced her math teacher and they had a long term affair in high school. Her first boyfriend was abusive, physically and mentally. Mike rescued her. He sought her out after one visit at the record store where he worked. Her grades were declining at Penn State. She was losing her scholarship. She was on the verge of being a drop-out. She saw the golden arches in her future. May I super size that? Mike saved her. He paid her tuition. He tutored her. She got A's in math. Her grades went up so fast the professors thought she was cheating. Mike helped her get her first real job. Mike supersized her ego. He made her realize that she was more than the sum of her parts. She could accomplish anything she put her mind to do. And Mike was there as her backup. And Mike was not a coward. He took a beating from the Penn State offensive line for her. He stared down the barrel of a shotgun for her. He ran in front of a bus to save her. As he said from his hospital bed coming out of a coma, I will always protect you. And he does.
The thing is: Jen knows that she needs Mike as much or more than he needs her. However, she never tells him, because in some ways she is smarter and more calculating than Mike. And she's a selfish, jealous bitch, according to Allie, her best friend. Mike calls her his goddess and she beams. He asks her, if she likes being called his goddess? And Jen says, I think so.
Although it's difficult to understand their love, or read about their love, I think there is a deep and abiding love between these two. I can only read X's books in small doses before I need to stop.

Crusty1969 I agree with what you said but I disagree with Ricky, I think with Ricky she did fall in love he was there first experience at the lifestyle she was young she had a crush on him in college, she cheated with him at graduation there were alot of first with Ricky, I can see the chocolate analysis working with the rest of the guys she been with, but Ricky is different she got jealous and angry when she thought Frank had put Jasmine with Ricky you dont get jealous and angry over someone who is just chocolate. I dont know if Jen left out CA on purpose, but she almost destroyed her relationship again with Mike by not being forth coming with what happen in CA she knew Mike would want Ricky to get her pregnant and she knew if Mike knew everything about CA he would not have let him near her, and I think that is why she went to great length to make sure Allie or Ricky never said anything about CA. Had Mike had known the whole story about CA he would not have let him near her because l like you said Mike can not share her heart or love with someone else. In the end it sorta worked out Mike still believes the reason the moved was because she loved Ricky, I do think she loves Mike way more because through out the whole saga she fought like hell to get him, keep him and get him back.

xian2014--I wonder if Jen's love for Ricky is similar to her love for Wes? I remember in the "Wesley flashback" from "Cheating & Rivals", when Mike was returning from England and Jen ended her affair with Wes, she realized the feelings she had for Wes quickly faded away. They were like a weak shadow of what she felt for Mike, is how she put it. I think her feelings or love for Ricky are stronger than this, but not close to her love for Mike. Mike is her soul mate. In "Life After We" Jen tells Clint, "Mike's my soul mate. You see? He's the only man for me. I can't love anyone else."xian2014 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2024 8:11 pmCrusty1969 I agree with what you said but I disagree with Ricky, I think with Ricky she did fall in love he was there first experience at the lifestyle she was young she had a crush on him in college, she cheated with him at graduation there were alot of first with Ricky, I can see the chocolate analysis working with the rest of the guys she been with, but Ricky is different she got jealous and angry when she thought Frank had put Jasmine with Ricky you dont get jealous and angry over someone who is just chocolate. Good point about how Jen fought like hell to get Mike back and keep him throughout the whole series.

Jen and Mike are both super complicated and love is messy, especially in the lifestyle.
I never hated Jen. Frustrated by her decisions sometimes, but that’s because it’s written from Mike’s perspective so we’re more inclined to side with him.
It’s delicious in every iteration and I’ve never been more involved in a romantic storyline.

Hi - Just wanted to let everyone know that Book 4 of Be Careful What You Wish For is out on Kindle and Smashwords. It will be out on other sites in the next week or so.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D76YPPPM
https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/1578224
If you're interested in paperbacks -- and I know they are expensive, almost all the cost is to print -- will be out soon too, but I can never tell where. Not on Kindle, but maybe Smashwords and Kobo. You'd think I'd have control over that, but as a small-time author of erotic romances, I'm lucky they get published at all.
Cheers - xleg (Pete)

Hi Darren, loved your interview with Pete Andrews! Excellent! I was wondering if I could get your opinion on a couple of questionsDarrenZ wrote: ↑Sat Jun 15, 2024 12:21 pmJen and Mike are both super complicated and love is messy, especially in the lifestyle.

I asked? At the end of "Cheating & Rivals" do you think Jen is in love with Ricky?
And, do you think Frank will ever be Jen's lover again? I know she ended that part of their relationship but Frank asked if he could
visit Jen in the Canary Islands and I can see Jen weakening and falling under Frank's spell again. I hope not, but who knows when Jen
gets her "cum face" on?
Thanks Darren!

I don't think Jen will ever be with Frank again and here is my thinking: Allie and Lou (Frank's former bodyguard) are dating. Lou got the report on Mike that Frank asked for. I bet at some point Lou tells Allie about Frank's plot to have CATF take Mike into custody again and hold him for months.
I don't think Allie will keep this to herself. She and Jen have just repaired their friendship and Allie won't want to risk losing Jen again by keeping this from her. I bet she tells Jen right away. Once Jen finds out what Frank had planned for Mike, I don't see her ever even talking to Frank again. In fact, I bet she'll be super-pissed.
Just a thought...

Mike is: a mathematical savant; probably has a photographic memory; an intellectual when required. Mike is deeply, madly and passionately, in quicksand love with Jennifer Johnson, his Helen of Troy. He goes to war for her. He protects her with his body and soul, with his life if necessary. Jennifer is very beautiful, even her feet and toes are beautiful. She is artistic, flirtatious, graceful, insecure, jealous, selfish, vibrant, and very intelligent which she doesn't realize until she meets Mike.
Jen tells Mike she doesn't like one night stands. It's not to say she hasn't done them. It's just not her preference with Mike. Jen needs a reaction from Mike. It reaffirms his love for her. Mike thinks he needs to allow her this sexual freedom otherwise, he loses her. Remember Jen is very insecure. Mike provides the ballast in her life. Before Mike, Jen drifts from one loser to the next. After Mike, she chooses losers to tweak Mike's anxieties. She isn't devoid of feelings for them; it's good sex and the dopamine; it's just not love. It's transactional. He gets sex with a beautiful woman and she affirms Mike's love for her. As soon as it becomes too much for him, and he leaves. She reels Mike back into the marriage, the relationship.
Beautiful women are always in competition with other beautiful women. It's natural. They hate losing. It's like any thoroughbred, they hate losing. It's more about the race than the competition.

Yes, I think Jen legitimately has feelings for Ricky and always did. I think Ricky could never share Jen with anyone so a poly situation could never work.
Agree with HoneyLemon77, Frank is done and for exactly the reasons they detailed.

Thanks, Crusty1969. That really helps explain why Jen acts the way she does. I have never been able to understand how a woman as stunningly beautiful like Jen is described would be so jealous and insecure of other beautiful women. Like Allie. Allie has a totally different body type than Mike prefers yet Jen is extremely jealous of Mike even talking to Allie after what happened Christmas night. I understand it better now, I think. Thanks!Crusty1969 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 16, 2024 11:43 amMike is: a mathematical savant; probably has a photographic memory; an intellectual when required. Re: xleglover - I want to give everyone an update
Hello HL
You've read the new version of FWFFG and I have questions.
There are times which XL could have expanded and expounded on in the original FWFFG.
For instance: Mike's visit to Michigan after Jen gets the branding tattoo for Scott. Jen is smart, intuitive and a survivor. She has to know this is a watershed moment, a tipping point for their relationship. She has to be distraught when she sees Scott in the trailer. I wonder about their discourse: Scott and Jen's tete-a-tete. I don't think it's warm and friendly.
Another instance, after Mike catches Jen in bed with Scott in the loft. The entire event seems planned, however, it's left to the imagination of its origin. Is it planned or serendipity for Scott? Mike leaves for Florida. Mike drives around Florida and his trip to Florida. We get that. But for Jen, there is not any description about her. What she does? How she views the situation. We see them meeting in a restaurant. It's not very enlightening.
Another instance, after Mike gives her divorce papers. It doesn't sound like the taciturn Mike. He barely allows her to speak. Restaurant Mike is unlike the person whom we're familiar.
There are other situations. I know some readers prefer the sex scenes and they are very well written. You can visualize the sex positions. A few writers do as well as XL, but not many. They're not very realistic. If you read the scenes then you need to be a contortionist, double jointed. I prefer more emotional expansion of thought especially the female thinking.
Does Pete Andrews fill in the blanks.

Re: xleglover - I want to give everyone an update
I have been reading Be Careful what you wish for.. and for life of me can not figure this out, but I guess I will never figure it out what is the point of Zoey marring Hudson she clearly wants to be with Greg full time and marry him, Hudson is only with Zoey for the cuckold kink....this relationship makes no sense at all, at least with the Mike and Jen relationship it was symbiotic they fed off of each other and at no time would Jen ever cut Mike off from sex nor put him last unless it was preplanned by both of them. I have said this before and I will say it again good sex and a big dick does not make for a successful relationship nor does it define the make up of a good man or a successful man.

I too am reading BCWYWF and I think a decent job is done in showing the psychology transitions of the characters as individuals and in relation to each other. They still love each other but are evolving into uncharted waters. Hudson's deepening addiction to the fetish is very well detailed.
Personally I think the story is dedicated to a long ago popular thread on this site. A real life cuckold story that ended badly for the cuck who reaped the whirlwind of what he wished for.

Re: xleglover - I want to give everyone an update
I'm sure this is where this story is heading I don't think this lifestyle has to high of a success rate, sure there are exceptions but I think for the most part they are doomed from the beginning in my opinion and from what I have read from other sites and through other sources. The problem is human nature sure the kink sounds fun and all sexy lots of sex, but once feelings start to form there is no course correction from that especially if the feelings are a 2 way street and that is what is happening with Zoey and Greg, Zoey is holding onto something that isn't there any more and Hudson is only in this for the kink sure I think they loved each other at one time but not any more what they have right now is a remanence of what was before this all started, in a sense this is actually a sad story, and I don't judge any adult or couples on how they want to live their relationships or their lives, but for me I could never live this lifestyle or be a part of it with someone I have given my whole heart to someone I call my soulmate the risk would be to high and it would destroy me if the person I loved ask me to be in an open marriage my trust for that person would always be in question.Guhunkadorn wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2024 5:12 amI too am reading BCWYWF and I think a decent job is done in showing the psychology transitions of the characters as individuals and in relation to each other. That is why I liked the Jen and Mike stories they were the exception because they truly loved each other to the core one could not live without the other sure feelings got developed by Jen but when she saw that it would end her and Mike she pulled back hard on the reins, so for me none of X's stories since that story arch has been able to convey that kind of love and commitment.

Re: xleglover - I want to give everyone an update
Xian2014--I agree. Regarding Mike & Jen, every time their marriage was threatened she broke it off with her "boyfriend".
She broke it off with Ricky when she returned from California near the end of HFMG. Although according to xleglover, she wasn't ready for that to end but she ended it because Mike was upset.
She broke it off with Scott after he sent Mike the "Vegas video".
She broke it off with Tom when he got too serious and wanted her to leave Mike.
With Drums, that ended when their two month "relationship" ended. I believe this was the second of the three wishes Jen gave Mike. I don't include the time period Drums was with Jen when Mike was in prison.
With Clint, she said "No" to his marriage proposal and she chose Mike.
With Frank, according to Jen, that relationship had run its course.
Ricky is the one that confuses me. Jen broke it off with Tom because he got too serious but Ricky is the definition of "too serious" and she has a hard time ending things with Ricky. I'm still very confused about Jen & Ricky's relationship at the end of "Cheating & Rivals".
Ricky tells her he loves her more than once but Jen only says it back to him with caveats. She tells him she doesn't love him the way she loves Mike.
I still don't know if Jen loves Ricky at the end of "Cheating & Rivals"! I was hoping xleglover (Pete Andrews) would jump in here and clear that up but so far, he hasn't. Oh well. It's a fun thing to wonder about late at night when I can't sleep.

Re: xleglover - I want to give everyone an update
In "Life After We" when Mike thinks he's the boyfriend instead of the husband. I think we get insight of Xleglover's thinking about Ricky Scott Tom and Drums. When Mike (Xleglover's alter ego) thinks Jen is playing the game with Clint as the primary lover. Mike says Jen always gets tired of her boyfriends and returns to her husband. Mike thinks Jen will tire of him and return to Clint. If this is the case then Ricky is no different from the subsequent boyfriends.
For the game to work for Jen she needs to know Mike is there in spirit and body when he can tolerate her sexual play. For Jen, Mike's jealousy his angst is equal to his love. It’s like fire: you need heat: Jen's NRE, fuel: boyfriend/Ricky, and oxygen: Mike. In the absence of either element there is no fire, no passion in the game in the sexual play for Jen. As soon as Mike disappears the passion goes out. Game over, boyfriend over.
In C&R Mike brings Ricky back to resuscitate their relationship. It's broken after he sleeps with Allie and he's desperately trying to fix it. Plus, Mike wants Jen to have another child by Ricky. The boyfriends are all pawns in Jen and Mike's game. If I were to rate Jen's boyfriends from most loved to least loved: I'd say Ricky because he really loves Jen, Clint in Life After We, Frank in C&R it's perverted but he cares for her; Scott in FWFFG , Tom the manipulative player, Scott in All in My Head and Drums the real A-hole. All the other players are incidental, even Colin. Are there real people like Colin? Hope not!

Re: xleglover - I want to give everyone an update
Wow - I just found this thread!! I’m a huge fan and will be buying all the books. I still vividly remember the scene where Mike had to crack the code to give the secret service the 45 extra seconds they needed to save the presidents life… that was so well written, it was just amazing.
You say the books are all new - I do hope you kept your stories. No need to only print the new stuff.
Things are still great with Sam and I. She’s got a new BF and it’s a comfortable thing. The twist is that I also have a GF… so now at times I am a double cuck!

Hi all - Book 5 of Be Careful What You Wish For is out. On Kindle now and other sites like Smashword soon.
Here’s the short description:
The big day is here! Hudson and Zoey’s wedding day! But Hudson won’t be the first man to have Zoey on their wedding night. Greg will be the first man with the new bride, not her husband Hudson.
That’s how far Hudson’s cuckold fantasies have gone. And while it’s the most exciting time of his life, he also feels like he’s falling into the abyss, especially when he’s in that dark place right after an orgasm.
Sidney – Zoey’s BFF and maid of honor – is loving all of this. She’s encouraging Zoey to delve deeper into Hudson’s cuckold fantasies. Sidney actually envies Zoey’s naughty and wicked sex life.
As for Greg, he’s doing all he can to demean Hudson in Zoey’s eyes. He doesn’t want his intimate relationship with Zoey to end.

Thanks for your support! My books on Kindle (and other places like Smashwords) are edited versions of what I've published before. In many cases, they are heavily edited as I've fixed and added things to the original stories.Samanthasman wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2024 10:28 pmWow - I just found this thread!! I have published 1 new series, Girls Who Belong To Other Men.
And I finished the Tiny Dancer series.
Right now I am finishing the Be Careful What You Wish For series. I just released Book 5. I've added some new material and subplots to Books 1-5. Book 6 will begin having new stuff, going beyond what was originally published here.
You may not have seen some of the short stories in my 3 Flash of Stockings short story collections (unless you read my really early works).
Here are all my books on Kindle: https://www.amazon.com/author/peteandrews
Cheers!

I've been looking forward to your continuation of Be Careful What You Wish For for so long. I'm excited to see what sort of marital bliss is in store for Hudson.

I REALLY enjoyed book 5. This is a case where I think the extra time spent in editing and re-working really, really paid off. A really nice "left-right-left" boxer's punch story.
Great job.
