There's a lot there, Rascal, and some of it -in my mind and hers at least - isn't as clear as it may seem. Yes, we did discuss that, almost immediately after the shopping comment. Hi, Anon. I thought I'd best respond to this with the time I have at the moment. Whatever I wrote evidently created a wrong impression. I honestly have no fear about the issue you mentioned.

My most recent infrequency of posts, aside from short responses, results from work matters and short-term travel responsibilities. A couple of social events had a bit to do with that. I understand your position and appreciate the insight within those comments; but my remarks above led some, not just you, to misunderstand my intent. I don't expect to understand how other couples do their relationships. Hell, I barely understood my 45-year relationship! My wife died in January and there are still things I wish I'd figured out. The main reason I follow yours and others here on OHWs is because of how enlightened your marriages are and the great communication it requires to maintain them.
