I have to agree Candy was very hard to like throughout, but what a great character to mould a story around. Great ending and everyone lived and loved happily ever after, well hopefully - well maybe not her neglected kids she ran out on but we can't have everything. - and what an asshole that Derek was incredible, neanderthal is too kind a description in my book.

You're one of the very best and most prolific writers on this forum, and perhaps we don't thank you enough for all your outstanding work. It's been an absolute pleasure to read this epic. One for the ages and I really do appreciate all your efforts over the whole distance, superlative work.

(Even if she was one of the worst examples of motherhood I've read who stayed true to form to the very last. - at least she was a fictional character. Maybe it's the combination of a very large cock and a bloke she both respects and likes that's the secret. Go through her past lovers and how many could honestly qualify on both counts? Maybe at a push, Greg before he badly blotted his copybook over the birth of Teddy. Not too many since with the biggest cock of all Derek being perhaps the biggest dickhead too. (Although maybe the biggest villain was Tod who of course she nicknamed Toddy after, a leaving gift to the left behind toddler perhaps, and one to remind Michael he doesn't share any of his genetic code?)

Thanks to everyone for all your feedback and yes, I made a couple of mistakes on the way but it all came together in the end. Now, what to do next? A break maybe... or should I slip into a new series?

Perhaps I'll take Chris's advice and make a cup of tea and think about it. I understand that there are some issues with getting a drop of milk in the UK for those who don't drink it black (and sweet, of course...., Sweet like candy, perhaps? Now that should stir the possum. Poor Candy everyone picks on her.

I wonder what type of girl this Gloria is? Should we examine that subject?

We love Candy really, a proper rounded human being painted as she is, warts and all. It's her wonderful character that made the story so engaging. I don't think anyone should be all good or just plain bad but somewhere in between, and the fact that Candy had her many faults made her a loose cannon and the unpredictable consequences always entertained.

If you can conjure up another masterpiece from inside that exceptional brain of yours, I would be absolutely delighted but I can't say you don't deserve a long break either. Being horribly selfish I hope the break is only as long as it takes to drink a shared pot of tea with your good lady.

Okay, so all of you knew that I couldn't resist so here is the first chapter of the introduction to 'Gloria.'

By the way, I drank my cup of tea as I wrote it. I hope you enjoy it. I have no idea of where it will go but let's see how it develops. Oh, I forgot to point out that this is all make-believe so if anyone thinks they are filling one of the staring roles, "My god help them because they will need all the help they can get to fit into any of my stories."
