I guess a little ranching lesson is in order . Our hay pen is a fairly level spot of ground about five acres or so, where we store hay. It's all wrapped using a silage wrapper. Imagine what looks like long white tubes 5' in diameter, about 400' long.
During the winter, when we feed, the pen gets rutted by the tractors and trucks, so.....the need to blade with a box blade and tractor to relevel the pen. It's a "pen" because it's fenced to keep the hay "in".
