I'm not sentimental. I gave my kids some candy. I went out with Sarah mainly because it was a Saturday night. Grace spent the evening with her hubby and kids.

My oldest has his suspicions. He's funny, because he knows I date multiple women, but he is old fashioned, and won't date a girl unless she's exactly his type. He doesn't like girls who he thinks are prone to messing around. He's 100% opposite of me when I was his age. My daughter? She's more open/has friends who are gay/bi, and generally runs with the artsy crowd. I think she would think it was cool.

Since I get DM's occasionally about this thread I thought I'd wrap it up and give one final update.

First as an aside, my oldest is in college. Ironically he's pretty conservative sexually; I guess he gets that from his mother. He always looked at me with suspicion and side eye when Grace or Sarah came around. Sarah, he was a little more accepting of despite the age gap, but Grace he knew what was up. He even pulled me aside and asked some questions about feelings and logistics.

Well his mother caught him banging the lesbian neighbors wife. She was furious that he would do that at home and possibly put her in danger. He confided in me that it was all on the up and up, but his mom didn't want to know or hear about it. Turns out the wife is bi and allowed to get some side dick. He was good friends with them and had done things like house sitting. When they approached him he told me he kind of understood me a little better, that when he was asked to help out a "friend" he could see it not being so bad. He went off to college but the rest of the summer I told him he should use my house for that kind of thing. It's quiet and discrete, and of course there is the pool.

Sarah at one point called me and asked why there were two topless women in the pool with my oldest. I filled her in, but told him he should give me a heads up so I can let people know. After that, they'd come over and bi-wife would go off to his room with him and Lesbian wife and I and Sarah and I would chill with a beer. If I came home early I'd let him know so that no one was embarrassed in the pool. Never talked about it, or anything other than casual conversation. Lesbian wife is a former college athlete, but bi-wife is very feminine and my son has commented she's hot in the past. Once they were done, she'd come out and tell her "Come on honey lets go home" and they'd leave. I don't have the nerve to ask about what all that is, but I have my suspicions.

I'm his dad, so my opinion is clouded, but he is a gifted kid. He's smart, an elite athlete, and good looking enough that I notice girls checking him out. If I were him I would be an absolute man-whore, so I give him credit that he shows restraint and caution with women. I don't see him going down my path, but I am proud he has a good compass. But I think he understands me a little better now.

Sarah is now a nesting partner. I think her and her partner basically drifted apart with the distance. He kept postponing things because of his career and finally over a phone call told her he was moving to Oregon, and that he didn't think he wanted a relationship anymore. She was sad for a long time, but I think it was more a realization that she knew it was done before that, but clung to it for comfort more than anything. She had stopped going to her place and we basically decided she lived with me. We have a happy thing going, and she's been a vivacious swinging partner along with the home life.

Grace has a busy family life, but we make time for each other weekly. It helps that her and Sarah are friends, and get along. Sarah is pragmatic and will even send me away, "I think you need to go see Grace." if she's not feeling it or grumpy. Its hard now. Her kids are growing and acutely aware. We keep thing strictly platonic so they aren't put in a hard position. I don't know what we'll do in the future with it but I have my ideas.

I put it out there, and the offer is always open. I have enough space and land that I'd be happy to give her and Ben a chunk so they could build a forever home. With little kids and family it's too complicated now, but she talks like she's going to do it when her kids go off to college. They're wonderful people and if it all stopped tomorrow the offer would still be there.

So this will be it. I haven't added much here and there because I've been putting together my own personal magnum opus. I love origin stories and wanted to finally put mine on paper. I have the finishing touches on it, so hope to post it soon.
