Body Image - What men really think is sexy

For me I think a big part of it is perceived effort. Now I'm a man of the classics - I like fine wine and good cheese, I like 20's swing and cozy jazz, I like rich whisky and I like black and white films. I've often been called an old soul trapped in a young man's body - though I'm not sure "trapped" is the word I'd use...

I bring this up because for me, dress makes a big difference. I personally like to cut a sharp figure for myself. A suit that fits well, with polished shoes. Tasteful cufflinks and bracers. That sort of thing. I like to put in the effort to look classy, and I just love it when a woman can reciprocate. An elegant dress with similar heels, a pair of nice earrings and a necklace that bring out her eyes. Even simple things like a tidy hairdo make a big impression on me - I can't help but think, wow! This woman's made a real effort to impress me, and impress me she has. Nothing quite says "I want you" like being finely dressed for no other reason than to make a good first impression.

Statistically speaking, I think older women tend to be better at this. A lot of women closer to my age seem to go for whatever makes their breasts look best, whatever gives me least to imagine with regard to the shape or size of their rear! While there's nothing wrong with that style of fashion, it just can't hold a candle to a sleek and sexy cocktail dress for me. That kind of thing misses out on all the grace and elegance that I love so much.

This question presupposes that men are some kind of monolithic group. We’re not. We’re all different and have different tastes in women. Period.

Appearance has little to do with for me, within reason. A woman who embraces her sexuality and clearly displays that is a turn-on regardless of body type/age/etc.

Visual appeal is the first thing that draws a person to have their attention onto someone else. So if we stick to that, a fit body and a pretty face are the first things for me. A good ass is definitely a plus. Age is irrelevant to me since being in good shape usually helps with everything else.
