I apologize if this seems to be a silly question. I am new to this site and am still trying to get the hang of things.
What is the difference between posting a reply and using the quick reply option?

In this version of the software, there's little practical difference, except that with "Post Reply" you get a full editor by default.
Technically I believe Post Reply is a reply to the original post, whereas a Quick Reply is a reply to the last post in the thread, basically just tacking yours onto the end. But again, I don't see how that matters in practical terms. I've seen it make more of a difference on another board that has a bunch of customizations, that make it more clear whom you're specifically replying to without quoting them.
