Engaging a mutual friend seems to be a promising route and one I’m thinking on for my situation. There is already a closeness and if there is a mutual attraction … I suppose the danger is an unwanted change in dynamic -> you worry they might run off together / your relationship with your friend who is now fucking your wife etc. but still a genuine option to consider I’d say
