I think my wife is about to have a boyfriend

Unread post by lovinglyours »

Not really sure where this belongs, so if the mods think it fits better somewhere else feel free to move it.

My wife and I have been together since 1996 and have been playing with others since 2010.

Over the years we've probably checked a lot of boxes. Swingers. Open marriage. Stag/vixen. Maybe a little cuckold mixed in depending on who you ask. Truth is, we've never worried too much about the label.

Most of the guys she's been with over the years were people she met naturally. Coworkers, friends, guys we met out, people from clubs, whatever. Usually it was once or twice and then life moved on. Sometimes I was there, sometimes I wasn't. Most of the time it was fun, sexy, and honestly just part of who we are.

There was one exception back in 2017 that got pretty serious and almost ended us. Looking back, it wasn't the sex or even the feelings that nearly broke us. It was the secrecy and lack of communication. She hid what was happening and I was left trying to figure out where I stood in my own marriage. We eventually rebuilt things and came out stronger, but that experience definitely changed the way I look at situations like this.

After moving in 2019 we started going to a swinger club and quickly became regulars. She found things she enjoyed, made some friends, had some regulars she looked forward to seeing, and for the most part everything stayed within the club environment.

Then about six weeks ago she met a guy there.

He's 32, black, about 6'2", and in pretty good shape without looking like he lives in a gym. She's 47, 5'5", around 130 pounds, petite, with a flat stomach and still turns heads everywhere we go.

At first it was just talking. Then texting. Then Snapchat. Then more talking.

What struck me was that unlike most club connections, they weren't rushing toward the bedroom. They genuinely seemed interested in getting to know each other.

We've seen him a few times since then and last weekend the three of us spent an entire day together on our boat.

By the end of the day I realized I wasn't watching my wife flirt with a guy.

I was watching two people who genuinely liked each other.

The flirting started almost immediately and never really stopped all day.

She spent part of the afternoon sitting in his lap while we cruised around the lake talking and laughing. The kisses came easily and often and neither of them seemed remotely concerned about whether I was watching. Little touches, hands finding each other, him pulling her close when she walked by, playful swats on the ass that earned him a grin from her every single time.

At one point we stopped at a marina to grab food and while I stepped away for a few minutes she later told me he kissed her while I was gone. She admitted she loved the fact that it happened in public and not hidden away somewhere.

Later we anchored in a quiet cove as the sun started getting lower. They floated together in the water talking face to face with their legs wrapped around each other while the conversation drifted from one topic to another. Looking over at them from the boat, it genuinely felt like I was watching a couple.

Eventually she climbed out to fish for a few minutes while the two of us sat nearby.

He walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her while she stood there holding the fishing pole. He kissed her neck and she leaned back into him immediately, tilting her head toward him and giving him better access without even thinking about it, moaning as his hand dropped between her legs.

I remember watching her knees soften a little as she leaned back into him and realizing just how comfortable she already was with him.

That was the moment that stuck with me.

Not because of what followed, but because of how naturally she seemed to melt into him.

The comfort was there.

The trust was there.

It didn't feel like club chemistry anymore.

It felt real.

They moved to the back of the boat while the sun settled down toward the horizon and let the chemistry take over. When things reached that point, she never asked him to stop or reach for protection, and when the moment came she pulled him close, locking her legs around him, making it clear exactly what she wanted.

One thing that struck me was that there never seemed to be any hesitation between them. They moved around each other with a comfort that felt more like experienced lovers than two people together for the first time.

They stayed wrapped up in each other talking and laughing while the daylight slowly disappeared around us.

Eventually she stood up, slipped on her shorts and shirt, and kept talking with him as comfortably as if nudity between them had never been something worth noticing in the first place.

By then the sun had gone down and the bugs had started winning the battle so we headed back in.

On the walk back to the car they held hands.

The drive home was an hour and a half and she spent the entire ride stretched out in the back seat with her head in his lap while they talked.

Kissing.

Talking.

Where they grew up.

Places they'd lived.

Stories from childhood.

Family.

Life.

The kind of conversation that usually comes long before people end up together, not after.

When we got back to his car she hugged him goodbye and gave him a long kiss before we headed home.

The next day she admitted something else to me. She told me she hadn't been that satisfied in a very long time.
She was sore for the next two days afterward and made no effort to hide the fact that she absolutely loved it and was craving more.

Since then they've talked every day.

He's out of town this week and we're tied up with life next week, but they're already talking about when they'll get to see each other again.

He's made it pretty clear he'd like to date her.

She's admitted she wants that too, but isn't quite ready to jump straight into solo dates yet.

Her words were that she'd like a couple more "chaperoned dates" first.

Watching your wife get butterflies over someone after almost 30 years together is a weird feeling.

Exciting and terrifying at exactly the same time.

I've watched my wife with a lot of men over the years.

This didn't feel like that. This felt like watching the beginning of something.

Something else, as I write this, I asked her yesterday if she wanted to goto the club this weekend, and she just shook her head and said had no desire to go up there.

It sounds like you aren't really too keen on the idea that your wife has "caught feelings". If that is so, I would suggest that you and she have a heart-to-heart talk about what you are observing and how it makes you feel. Considering that she has "strayed" before, and those circumstances of secrecy, you are entitled to be concerned.

If, on the other hand, you are ok with the way things are moving, then good for you.

My HW, Cecil, and I allow each other solo play, but with a couple of ground rules. First, we are totally transparent about everything, no secrets, and each patched into the other's emails and texts with playmates. Second is a No Questions Asked Veto power over the other's playmates.

Sorry if it came across that way. I'm actually very happy with how things are progressing. I'm enjoying seeing her like this.

No, we weren't high school sweethearts, if that's what your asking. Id have no issues with public dating, he lives about an hour away. Ive mentioned to her to not go anywhere we go together. It is nice right now. Now sure what else to say about him he is very respectful to the both of us. I can see he is dominant towards her, but as she is a natural submissive, she takes right to it biggest thing, when he messages her, she smiles

Wow, that is pretty scary. How did you overcome 2017 and how have things changed as of 6-weeks ago with this new guy?

I too have no idea where this thread belongs. It’s way out of my league though. I was like the first poster, I thought you were in agony about the turn of events, but you quickly confirmed you are where you want to be. I would so dread this. After surviving a time with my wife where she caught feelings for another man, I never wanted to revisit that. Your story had a real opportunity to describe a sexy scene but you glided right past it. You gave much more details to their conversations and flirting. But we do know she hasn’t been that satisfied in a long time. Where would you put this, poly?
