I don't think so. My wife liked to wear anklets (and toe rings) long before she became a hotwife, and well before I told her what they might signify to some people. Since she already liked the way they looked, she never thought twice about wearing them openly. She liked the added significance to those who might notice. My wife wears her anklet daily on her right ankle. It is supposed to signify that she is married but is available to date other men. Her daily anklet which she wears to work, the gym, family occasions or times with vanilla friends has a gold heart charm on it.
