I think the judgmental responses are coming from couples who have kids who question the most important factor that most people ignore regarding this - how is this going to effect the child long term? Is it fair to the child? What if you don't know who the father is, and god forbid some medical issues come up with the child, and the doctor needs a medical family history?

To each his own, have fun, you're entitled to do what you want, but I'll always look out for the children first & foremost because they never have a voice in these "fun" decisions.
