I hope you can find a way to let your readers back into your good graces.

Your posts had saddened me, and my two meager replies were attempts to make myself feel better. I realize I'll need to work on that. And if I offended, I'm sorry. I'm guessing the vast majority of us on the public thread would happily echo a thunderous apology to regain your favor.

And perhaps it's too soon, but I'd love to hear a discussion, from both you and David about boundaries, recovery, and rebuilding after a crisis. Your perspective might help others, if you need an encouraging reason.

What I have appreciated about this thread (and many others) is the raw nature of what is stated. It seems very authentic and doesn't seem to avoid anything other than maybe not being as detailed as some may like. We as bystanders get to play a role in analysis or coaching or even being opinionated.

For me where it crosses the line, while being ok to say what you want, is when those thoughts better kept to oneself are of a judging nature. It is ok to not agree with what is happening or felt as it doesn't follow ones own rules or morality - but how is it in anyway beneficially contributory if that is the case?

To think "I coulda told you so ..." is different than actually saying it with the result being things like Jane suggesting "why would we share every feeling ..?"

I was away for a while and I also didnt really read any other threads because I was too busy.

I just want you to know that I fully support you and your husband.
This lifestyle is not easy and we all know that rules are broken or changed in an instant.

friday night we met with this new guy in a hotel lounge. david was there. we talked to him for about an hour, small talk. he is divorced. slightly balding, average build.then i went upstairs with him alone, although david did follow and listen at the door a little to make sure i wasn't being harmed. it was nice. not bad, not spectacular.

i went to the bathroom and when i got to the table there was david talking to this man. he gave me a huge smile, and got up and shook my hand, then david explained about him. really cute guy.
we barely started talking and he says, "so your husband says you like black guys?"
i'm sure i blushed dark red. i couldn't figure him at first, he's dark but he looked sort of exotic, then he mentioned his mother immigrated from barbados.
anyway david had let him know we'd recently had a rough experience, and he seems cool taking his time.
funny thing was the two of them talked half of the time about cars! in fact i think they're going to a car show next weekend. i guess that gets me out of going, LOL

I turned 60 not so long ago and for me at least, just thinking about things won't bring on an erection like back in the day. I'm sure most of us guys can relate to those inconvenient boners in high school etc. I don't know if you are like Mrs Reese who gets off on knowing, and even demands to be told, when she is hurting guys so well that we can't stand up in polite company, but some of your admissions are very potent to me and I could be back in high school hoping the teacher doesn't ask me to stand up.
