Login problems? Delete OHW cookies

We've made a couple of recent changes to the cookie settings of the board, in order to resolve a problem where some users keep getting signed out.

(if you've had this problem, let us know whether it's fixed/better now!)

For everyone else, if you're experiencing any weirdness:

- Problems logging in
- Hotties images not loading
- etc

please clear ourhotwives.org cookies from your browser. You'll have to log in again, but that should fix any issues.

This morning I could not login on my phone, but on my laptop everything worked fine.

On my phone I keep all cookies, but on my laptop, I delete all cookies when exiting the browser.

After deleting all cookies on my phone, I could login again.

I have not had any problems seeing the images in The Hotties section and still no problems.

Today, I was unable to access this website on my preferred browser (Firefox). The message read "The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again." I was able to access the website via my Edge browser. My username is guitarman.

This worked for me too. I use Microsoft Edge. I was able to log in yesterday but not this morning until I cleaned out this site's cookie. If you do a Google search, there is a very good youtube video showing you how to do this.

If you're using Chrome (I don't but I have Chromium as well as Brave, and it's similar for both) here's a nerd way to delete just the OHW cookies:

• Browse to the OHW login page
• Click the top-right hamburger menu (or the thing with 3 vertical dots)
• Click "More Tools"
• Click "Developer Tools"

A frame will open on the right with some tabs at the top.

• Look for an "Application" tab (might have to click ">>" to find it)

On the left hand panel of that tab there's a bunch of stuff including "Cookies"

• Expand "Cookies"
• Right click the cookies on the left hand panel and click "Clear"
• Pat yourself on the back, you're well on your way to becoming a nerd

Edge and Opera and Amazon might be the same; they're all the same browser under the hood - the only difference is which company is spying on/monetizing you (or not)

settings>apps>safari>advanced>website data>(show all sites or search)>>>swipe left on ourhotwives>>>delete

Thanks @leggysman. Thought I had been group banned last month for some reason. Went on vacation for 3 weeks came back and couldn’t log in. Much appreciated. Works great now.

By now, any of those old cookies ought to have expired anyway, AFAIK.

When I go into a posters name in the right side box, get a nearly blank page that says 401 Authorization required. What iOS a 401 authorization? How to I become able to send a PM to a member? Happens with every attempt over the past few weeks.

Hiya, that's not a login problem.

Sorry for the inconvenience. It's a temporary measure I'm using some of the time (but only since this past Friday or so -- not for several weeks) when the site's getting hit hard by AI scraper bots. That helps a bit.

When it doesn't help enough, I have to take the whole site offline because a) it's unusable; and b) at least I can deny the AI bros the win.

I'm working on a better solution.
