My wife used to be a cop. A head injury left her with epilepsy triggered by flashing lights, which kind of put an end to that career. After that she became an accountant, and now she is a software support specialist for a firm that supplies accounting software to government agencies.

After the military, I worked in various capacities for certain government agencies doing a lot of exciting things, became a PI, then worked with another gov agency doing more exciting things. Now I am semi-retired on a good-sized chunk of land in the country where I don't have to keep watching my back for someone trying to kill me. I kind of miss the excitement of doing things that other people go to the movies to see, but I'm getting too old and too many injuries have slowed me down some, which makes it less feasible to keep doing those things.

Yup. And while I love my co-workers to death, and I've been there for a few of them when they have had personal issues they have struggled with, I see no need for them to know about my lifestyle. (Even I ever join this lifestyle.) And I know my (eventual) wife or partner would recognize my need for discretion, as well.

Yeah, I don't get why some people think they need to 'come out' to all and sundry and tell the world about their sexual peccadilloes. In most cases, I don't need to know, and I don't *want* to know. Specific venues such as this forum, or a particular club or whatever are one thing, but IRL in the general public it's something else entirely. What people do behind closed doors is their business and it should stay that way, it's not their business to make it *my* business. The guy next to me in the coffee shop doesn't need to know that it trips my trigger when my wife ties me up and does something nasty to me, and I don't need to know that he likes to fuck goats...I don't care if he does, but I don't need to know about it.

My wife is the COO of her company....there is her Boss/Lover, and then her. She essentially runs the company, he is semi-retired. They have had a sexual relationship for 11 years now, and no one in the company is aware. Would not be good for them to flaunt it either. Early on, they did a couple of crazy things in the office before work....but a couple of close calls put an end to that.
