This is again a good question/point. I don't think SW told her, but she certainly does know that I/we take more of a European attitude towards marriage and monogamy. Ms. I knows there is some blurring of the lines in our marriage, but does not know the details.

The wedding was fabulous. Bride's family pulled out all the stops! Food was ridiculous and out of control, so over the top. Both in quantity and quality. Just wow.

Live band at the reception was really inspiring to SW. We stayed at the hotel on the same property, so no driving. And no early morning the next day. A formula for letting it go and having a wild time. And so it went, SW style.

So the wedding was perfect and beautiful. Bride's family went all out. Their final unmarried daughter, finally going for it, spinster fears disappeared. The groom very substantial, wonderful guy, etc. The bride to be had taken him to meet us just before the Covid pandemic began. And now the delay is over and they are married.

Drank wine, danced, had a rip-roaring time. SW wore this dramatic red dress, a well-known designer, and was initially questioning whether her choice of red would be considered inappropriate by some. I assured her that the only consideration is the bride, whom she would not want to be seen as upstaging. Also that the bride is such a good friend of hers, and knows her (SW) so well, that it would be expected and embraced. And so it was.

The men were of course all noticing SW dancing and in her "fun drunk" mode. She got to the point where she was just scarfing all the desserts. Clearly, in another place. There were kids and nieces and cousins, etc. so SW was taking care not to offend.

After the reception, it was late, and some of the hard party folks migrated to the hotel bar with us. Everyone was a couple at this point, and one by one they retired as it got late. The bride also.

The group of groom's friends apparently are nowadays preferring the espresso martini. So we all went for it, even SW. I was surprised at that; the last time she had a martini we ended up in a guy's hotel room with him intent on having a threesome with SW. That got very close, but he was not quite able to "close the deal" at the last minute.

The groom ended up hanging with us until about 1:30 a.m. and the three of us finished off the last of the wine and champagne from the reception.
