Average amount of guys in a women's life

I read in someone else's thread (I believe it was Been There) that the average women has fucked 30 guys in there life. I ask this question here as I did not want to highjack someone else's thread.

That number seems to me to be excessively high, even for those in an alternative lifestyle. There are many women who I believe if they had 5 that would be high. So I am wondering whether that statistic that was quoted was just lifestylers or women in general. Or maybe generational. I'm 72, so maybe I am behind the modern times.

I think across the broad spectrum, 5 to 10 would be more likely. Your thoughts.

My own experience is the number of sexual partners is higher among younger women. My girlfriend was 6 years younger than me (this was back in the 80s) and her number was a lot higher than 30, most after we met. My second wife was 13 years younger than me, and her number was 24 before we met, with an additional 6+ after we were married. So 30 is not an unreasonably high number.

Amongst our swinger group of 6 couples all of the wives have slept with at least 100 different guys. We have all been swinging for over 25 years so 4 different guys a year on average, when you are playing at clubs and parties most weeks, is not extraordinary. We estimate my wife has been with at least 300 guys and 200 girls.

However, amongst our vanilla friends the body count for the wives is 7 or less. Two were virgins when they married. I remember my wife saying that on a mum's night out one of the "bossy" mums was bragging about having been quite the flirt and popular and slept with 5 guys while she was at university. My wife felt like telling her that she had slept with more guys than that in one night for her last birthday.

With men an women waiting longer in life for first time marriage, therefore dating longer before marriage combined with divorce and therefore dating again, I guesstimate the typical female has 10 to 20 sex partners in her lifetime. Seems reasonable

If you look on Google you'll get several different answers but for American women the average is supposed to be 7.2 partners. That depends on the woman of course. Some will have more, some less. Apparently in India, women have more than that

How can anyone know. Prostitutes/escorts can have up to 10 a night, do you discount them as part of the average?

I’ve read that women say less and men more than is true, that women tend to admit to six if it’s higher so as not to seem easy, both my wife and ex said six, so I’m not sure. It’s too late to ask my ex, but my wife has given me names and details and she has no reason to hide it so I guess it’s true.

As was mentioned, a Google search will give numbers all over the place. However, what appear to be the best sources seem to put it around 4. That might sound low for this crowd, but we need to remember there are a ton of people with only one or two lifetime partners.

Based on current trends, I'd say that 30 is more than a reasonable average for the "modern" woman. These Gen Zs don't mess around when it comes to one night stands lol

Back in high school which was in the early 2000s for me, my the. Gf had a couple of girlfriends who already had a body count of 30+ and these girls were between 16 and 18 years old at that time! At that rate they are very likely well over 200-300 men by now. I was always wishful that their habits would rub off onto my girlfriend since they would go out frequently but she never quite gained traction how I hoped.

Regardless, in 7 years of sharing her, she did accumulate a body count of 17 different men which I felt proud of nonetheless. She was probably more active with those 17 men than her girlfriends with 30+ so I'm not complaining.
