We tried it on tonight. Have to admit that I wasn’t fully invested right away. The idea was hot but in action, it was a little clunky to get on. We have a silicone cage and I’m decently thick and it was very difficult to get all the way into the cage. I think I may need to be hard to start with. Also, I have very large balls so that was something to contend with.

From my understanding, this is some off-the-shelf cage.
Lets face it, not all dicks will fit and get comfortable in that kind of cage.
General advice, try to lube up your dick with baby-oil before inserting your dick.

If you really want to try this more, the best advice is to get a custom made cage. These are more expensive but there are a number of benefits for them.

I would suggest you read the material on Maturemetal.com. They make custom cages and even if you don't buy one of their cages, they have a lot of good information. First, no, you do not put on a cage when you are erect. You always put it on when soft and it should be snug. There are two measures that are the most important in my opinion. One is the ring that is essentially a cock ring that you put on at the base of your dick to keep the cage in place. Having large balls is an asset. I also have large balls and the extra effort it takes to get them inside the ring will pay off because they hold the cage in place. Guys with small balls have trouble in this respect and the cage can slip off pretty easily. You want a ring that is tight enough to get on but not so tight it cuts off the blood flow.
