What do you think of the term "Bull"?

My wife hates it. She much prefers boyfriend or fuck buddy. To us, the term bull sounds a little degrading. Is that part of the appeal of using the term? Is the term bull used to signify the animal lust that is going on? Do cucks use the term bull when posting here but, would never use that term in front of their wives? Am I over-thinking this?

We don’t use it nor would we find someone that identifies as a bull. It reflects a power dynamic that’s not us. I think Stag is closer to what we prefer.

This question comes up as a new thread from time to time. Since my wife and I are basically poly (with a bit of a hotwife accent), the term really doesn't apply. Nevertheless, we both find the term distasteful. It seems to more accepted by those with a cuckold orientation, than by hotwife/hotwife hubbie or stag/vixen couples.

If I ever get into this lifestyle, I would simply refer to him as "my wife's friend".

I call them my lovers. Bull just seems off to me.

I refer to my intimate friend this way being careful in referring to a married woman that way. He knows but you never know what makes someone reactionary...but I confess I do like it when she calls me her sidepiece to him and when we're out as her and I....and him.

It seems odd to me that most people on here believe referring to your wife's fb as a "bull" is derogatory, but referring to one's wife as "fucking her brains out" is not considered derogatory.

Maybe I'm too sensitive, but I believe both are derogatory, one to the fb and the other to a wife.

The "fucking one's brains out" is quite apt a metaphor with a close analog in the phrase "la petite mort," which is French literally for ''the little death." The idea is that immediately post-orgasm, particularly of the ultra, stormcloud-wringing variety, there can be a brief weakening or passing of consciousness, a sensation likened to death. I think it's a bunch of bull. I never use it and recommend that the members of this Forum move onto something more fitting. We just call the generic male "the extra guy." But so many other terms -- FWB, lovers, friend, boyfriend, even paramour -- could might be used. Why use a term that one associates to something that snorts?

Once they are longterm steady, my wife prefers to call the other her lover or boyfriend. Until that point it's her fuck buddy.
