I do wish he’d reconsider. Every post starts somewhere. And while the past may be gone. In 5 years things will have progressed from where they are today. I would say start with the recent past, since the post went missing and continue from there. Yes, it will mean more to those who have been around since the beginning. But I don’t think anyone will complain…,,At least they shouldn’t.

I can understand that the OP is reluctant to continue his story without including the development from the beginning. But a shame to lose it completely. It wasn't a story that I followed, but it was popular.
Did he not post it elsewhere? If it was posted on another site, then to copy it here you would need the permission of the OP. But someone could summarise it and post their summary, giving due credit to the OP. But also, as courtesy, ask him if he minds, and agrees with the content of the proposed summary.
Then the OP might be persuaded to carry it on. However, it might be that he is just tired of writing it. It can take up quite a bit of time.

So, anyone know if it was posted elsewhere?

There might be one problem with restarting/reviving it. We don't know why it disappeared in the first place. So, it might just disappear again.

I'll be gutted if y_guy abandons sharing his and Anna's odyssey.
I would be deflated too after pouring so much of yourself into an epic only to have it vanish.
Understandibly, it would suck the motivation out of you to begin another thread, only to eventually have that one disappear.

But if you are reading this, y_guy, know that there is a multitude of fans aching for the next details of your evolution.

In real life people rarely share of themselves anything approaching the depth of their true selves which are readily penned on this site.
When you follow someone's intimite life and thoughts for so long you become invested in it, to as much a degree as you can with someone you've never met.
It's like reading a good book which you don't want to end.

I think we should all work together and lump together everything we still know, every detail, every boy, every adventure, and for those who come after us and no longer have the opportunity to follow this incredible adventure from the beginning, at least give them that opportunity.

He is reluctant to start a new thread because the evolution of Anna in the past five years is gone and you can't read about it anymore.
He was amazed from the amount of feedback from readers that started reading just recently and that they had the opportunity to
get to know Anna step by step. That was maybe the special thing about the thread. He also said that he doesn`t have the time and the energy to recap this past five years for readers who would start at this point.

Yes, it is precisely the reasons for his hesitation that surprise me ...... did y_guy come here to write a novel constructed from beginning to end, and be a successful author, or was it to share his experience with people who are on the same wavelength as him?

If he came to write a novel, then losing his old thread is a problem.

If he came to share his experience then he can start a new thread and continue.

If he could keep all the old writings that would be better, but if that is not possible, is it a disaster? Is it a disaster to the point of stopping everything?

If he remakes a post, he is not obliged to summarize everything. He can just say a few lines to introduce himself ..... anyway most of y-guy's readers are people who have already read his old writings, there must not be a ton of new members who have arrived on the site since his discussion thread was closed .....

It's a shame that the first post disappeared, but hey in life everything does not go as planned .... so to stop everything for so little, I'm quite surprised ....
