Like the rest of you, I really want to know what has happened to y_guy since he posted in this forum.

I've got most of y_guy's old posts, but in an unedited form and without other peoples comments.
I don't know if it’s ethically correct to post them in The Library?
You could make a lot of guys happy.

I searched for y_guy and nothing came up. What was the title of his thread?
His thread was called "My Young Girlfriend", if i remember it right.

I'm wondering what the reason for the cancellation was.
She's now 74. That thread was LONG!

It's apparent that the admins don't want to talk about it. Something is fishy here. A thread just doesn't "disappear". And Y_Guy's lack of interest in starting a new thread is suspicious. Was there a hack? Were there some threats or stalking? Gamma rays?

Okay, let me take off my tinfoil hat. So let's say there was a "glitch" in the computer system, and it caused Y_Guy's thread to be corrupted or deleted. Well, you go to the back up and retrieve the data and replace it. Someone says there was no backup? Seriously? In this day and age?

I've been in the systems and software engineering field my entire adult life, starting in the late 1970s. On big data systems you ALWAYS do backups. Someone says it was too expense to do backups. Actually doing backups isn't very expensive. They're automated and storage space costs have plummeted, so these costs are low. The time consuming part (which would have some cost associated with it) is restoring data, especially if an incremental backup was performed.

Okay, so there is no backup. Well I say that if @lysten would be so gracious to create a thread from the posts he saved, he should do so. He would be a hero. And if for some reason the admins want it taken down, just delete it. We're back to where we are now. But if a new thread is started and Y_Guy wants to continue on, then great. If not, then move the thread to the Library.

We're living in an age where people want transparency and don't want to be gaslit. If Y_Guy's thread was taken down out of security concerns, then we would understand. We don't want to jeopardize the safety of Y_Guy and his crew, especially his lovely Anna.

My 2 cents.

Like Lysten, I also have a copy of y_guy's posts and have been in contact with the man himself. He does want them restored to the forum and we just need to decide how (there is a lot of it!). Hopefully there will be good news very soon.

This echo's my feeling: if Y_guy did not delete it, then why was it taken down?
Like many here, it was my go to thread.

My suggestion would be for Y_guy to start a new thread where he invites members here to post what is saved from his old thread.
That way the thread would be legitmate as it has gained Y_guys approval.

This is an entirely member-supported site staffed by a handful of volunteers. How much have you donated? :P

You seem quick to anger, and more than a little bit oversensitive - note the :P above? Why do you feel you were being "attacked"?

Feel free to help out, if you feel this site you've used gratis for nearly 7 years has deficiencies.

Spare me your armchair psychoanalysis. Take your passive-aggressive behavior elsewhere. As I said before, stow your self-righteous attitude.

Dude, it's called pushback. People like you think you can insult or shame or guilt others without repercussion.

Angry, no. Hit back when attacked, yes.

You could've posted a thoughtful reply about this site's financial standing, and in an effort to keep costs to a minimum, backups probably aren't affordable. But you had to attack me with a passive-aggressive comment, and yes, being passive-aggressive is still an attack. Your comment deserved pushback, and my response wasn't angry, it was firm.

The beta-boys here would've let the comment slide. Not me, I'm alpha. If you want to pick a fight, I'll be your huckleberry.

I'm just repeating my post from earlier, as I think it is important. My thought is (it is only my feeling) that a thread with Y_guys original posts in would be taken down if Y_guy does not give public permission to post.

My suggestion would be for Y_guy to start a new thread where he invites members here to post what is saved from his old thread.
That way the thread would be legitmate as it has gained Y_guys approval.

That's my two penny's worth... I just hope Y_guy reads this.

Our Hotwives is one of the best social sites on the internet. We should all donate if we can.

And, I echo...
"Our Hotwives is one of the best social sites on the internet. We should all donate if we can."
Also, no one should feel "attacked" when reminded this site operates on donations and volunteers. The number of "sponsors" in this thread alone speaks volumes.
