Wife is interested in fucking our plumber, how do I apporach this with him?

Hi everyone,

I could use some advice on how to approach a delicate situation.

We recently had some plumbing work done at our home, and my wife found the plumber very attractive. She’s interested in exploring a sexual encounter with him, but she’s naturally very shy and reserved, especially when initiating anything. In the past, when we were active in the lifestyle, I was usually the one who facilitated our encounters. Once she’s comfortable and things get started, she really opens up, but getting there is the hard part for her.

After taking a break from the lifestyle for a couple of years, we’re finally looking to step back in, and she’s expressed interest in starting with him. The challenge is: how do I approach him about this in a way that’s respectful and doesn’t make things awkward?

Would it be better to be direct and send a message explaining our situation? Or is there a more subtle way to feel things out without overstepping any boundaries? Maybe send him some sexy nudes of her by mistake (feels so damn cliche)? I want to make sure we go about this the right way, especially since our confidence is a bit rusty after being out of the game for a while.

I think being direct is the right play here. What boundaries do you have to worry about? The guy is a virtual stranger to the two of you. If he's offended, then he's offended and probably not the guy to be convinced into it anyway. Plus, if he has to be convinced into it, is that who she really wants to bed anyway?

I mean, be polite, but direct. I assume you have his contact info, but no current plumbing problems? Ask him to meet up with the two of you, or just you. Either way, you can take the initiative and explain your situation politely. (let's call him 'Mark'). Meet up at a coffee shop or some other neutral location where you can just talk. Perhaps take two cars if you can, so you can leave separate from your wife. "Mark, thanks for meeting up with us. We wanted to talk with you because we have a proposal to make. My wife would like to get to know you better, and potentially date you. Yes, that means we have an open marriage. Everything is on the up and up, she won't be cheating on me. Whether things move forward or not is fine, but she'd like the opportunity to try with you. If you're even slightly interested, I can step out and head home and the two of you can talk." If he says something non-committal, taken aback, or otherwise neutral... "Ok, well, let's make this easy. I'll step out and if you're game, you can spend some time with her." Give your wife a kiss, and leave.

...or something like that. Trying 'mistakenly' sent nude pictures has worked for some people, but you're right it is very cliche. Since your wife is shy about this, but she's very attracted to him, you're going to have to initiate things. Since he's a plumber, not someone in your normal social circle, you're going to have to initiate.

I don't know where you live. But here in the midwest, most plumbers are married, rural conservative, very hardworking and frequently religious. IMO, not a target rich environment for a HW hunt.

Knowing what most plumbers are like, I'd make sure he's finished any work he was doing first. If he's in the middle of fitting a bathroom or new heating system don't distract him or you'll never get it done

This would be my concern as well. Get to know him more. He may be a dedicated family man. He may be a church goer. He may be in a committed relationship.

You know your needs, and your wife's needs. But what about the other person? Just because he is an unmarried plumber doesn't necessarily mean he's available.

I would ask a few questions first.

That is a crazy stretch to say this is a stalker situation. My wife finds someone attractive and she wants to fuck him and it is consider stalking? If he says no, then we move on. There is no weirdo stalking.

I think it is hard to read what the best way to approach it is. I think direct but not too direct message and say hey My wife and I enjoy meeting you she(or we) would like to take you out to dinner to say thanks. See how he responds he says no tanks great if he meets you guys talk to him and see what you feel about him, she should flirt some, see how that goes if things look positive tell him what is going on. If he seems not into things at all you thanked him with dinner.

Nice topic! This is probably the most normal & common dilemma in the dating world, just as it is for the hotwife lifestyle ... how do you approach?

Since she's shy and possibly finds it difficult to make connections with people, approaching a stranger is probably swinging for the fence a little. That's not to say you can't try (because why not?), if she's expressed interest in him then I'd say go ahead with a refined approach. Thank him for his hard work and let him know your wife would like to take him to dinner. Keep it simple and focused on the meeting and the appreciation.

Based on his response you can let them go to dinner, or if he seems unsure, you can let him know she sees other people. Once the conversation progresses, most young guys will need to be told bluntly that she sees other people. Despite the folks who post in this forum, this lifestyle isn't necessarily obvious to most others who aren't actively participating in it (especially young guys). That kind of news could probably be delivered better from her though, over drinks / dinner. So if you can, connect them alone and in a public place and let the fire build from there.

On the other end, since she requires a lot of time and interaction to become comfortable with someone, consider finding ways for men to enter and stay in your lives so she can be exposed to more of those interactions. Hobbies, clubs, after hour get togethers (consider hosting them yourself), sports gatherings, etc. This may give you both time to find and prime an interaction with someone who may be compatible with you both.

You could also consider finding her another hotwife to be friends with, especially one who is already experienced and open about approaching other men. Women feel a lot more secure when they have a friend with them and in this case, one who is much less shy (and more experienced) than she is. Look for fellow hotwives on social media and dating apps, etc. The usual caveats still apply, you'll have to dodge and avoid the flakes and fakes but eventually you'll find a real hotwife couple in your area who is interested in meeting and swapping horror stories (which can be really fun).
