Another little bit of an update with some bigger "potential" to it.

If you remember, Dave kindly took Alice on a work trip last fall - and that work trip has come up again. And Alice has agreed to go again. And again, Dave kindly offered to pay to bring me along as well, which I politely declined last year.

Well...this year, I have decided to accept the invitation.

These past few months taking some time off from the "humiliating" aspects of the lifestyle has sort of reset my brain. I did attend his Christmas party dinner last year as you might recall and did meet most if not all of the people who will be going on this trip, so everyone present will be a known quantity. I am currently on vacation with my wife, her lover and all of his employees on their company retreat.

I will look forward to providing a more robust update once I've returned, but for anyone who was interested I wanted to say that this has not been what I expected but all in entirely good ways.

First, since our agreeing to take a "break" from humiliation since Spring, and owing to the success of the dinner I previously enjoyed with Dave's company - I really didn't expect this week to be humiliating. I thought we'd just be some sort of modern, progressive West Coast couple who do things differently and that everybody would be cool with that.

That's not how this has played out at all.
