September 30: 8th day of Navaratri
This time (like in April'25) too, Divya volunteered for Navaratri management works though in reduced capacity. However, there was no background fantasy game as Kaka was not in the committee.
On the 8th auspicious day, there is a fair with food, dance (called 'Garba') with lots of fun. I was pressurizing (suggesting) Divya to wear something sexy for the dance. She finally accepted to don a mesmerizing half backless Choli-Lehenga set. We went around 6PM evening, had snacks, talked to our friends and did some cool dance + photography. Since, I was tired from the office that day, around 9PM, I told Divya I am going back to home for a quick nap and then return around 11:30PM or so. Divya had to be there (by her choice and commitment) as she wanted pics with all. Sukanya was also having a blast.
I took the nap and woke up around 2 AM. I panicked and wandered around home to check if they have returned. They had not. I called Divya. Of course, she did not pick up. I went to the fair. Things were wrapping up. Still there was a crowd of 50-60 people (too less by Indian standards; when I left at 8PM, there must be more than 500 people). I was searching for Divya when I met Kaka eating some sweets.
Kaka: Hey Suvil. Have some Ras Malai. Quite delicious.
SV: Oh. Looks tasty. But I was searching Divya. She is nowhere to be found.
Kaka: Oh Divya. She is part of the committee. Things are wrapping up. She may be around storage rooms.
SV: I checked there. Nope.
Kaka: Call her.
SV: I already tried that. She never picks up.
Kaka: Yes, she talks very less on mobile. I am a victim of this. May be check around children's area. Somewhere near their sleeping room, where Sukanya must be.
SV: Done that too. Sukanya is sleeping peacefully. But Divya was not there.
Kaka: I only met her today once around dinner area. She looked busy. Oh, I remember she was with her students I think.
SV: Students ?
Kaka: She teaches, no ? They were having fun with some Bollywood style Garba routine.
SV: Oh. Yes. (Wtf! They ? Their is only one student of her.) Let me call him.
I called Nimu. He answered. I asked him if he has seen Divya. He said yes. He was with her on opposite side of fair area.
SV: Yes. She is with her students. She will come in 20 minutes with Sukanya. Till then Kaka, where did you get that Ras Malai from ?
Kaka: That corner shop.
I went to the shop and Kaka was following me. Wtf. Why ? I didn't want a long small talk with this chatter box.
Kaka: The sweet is good.
SV: Yes.
Kaka: Divya looked very popular among her students. I must appreciate.
SV: Yes. She takes her teaching seriously.
Kaka: Hmm. So, is she famous among her students for teaching only ?
SV: What else she can be famous for ?
Kaka: Her good intention nature, her helping hands, sweet smile, etc. A teacher can be much more. Now-a-days teachers care only about completing the syllabus and taking salary. Divya may not be like that. She wants good future for all her students. She will be good friend and motivator to her students too.
SV: Yes. Of course. She is a good person and want to nurture her students into good and successful persons too.
Kaka: Who is her favourite student ?
SV: Pardon ?
Kaka: A teacher must be unbiased. But even then, there may be some student who is the brightest star of her constellation.
SV: I don't know. I have no idea.
Kaka: Good. All students are equal for teachers. But all students do not see a teacher in the same way.
SV (Oh God. I woke up at 2AM for this lecture. Fuck.): Hmm... what ?
Kaka: For example. Say one student may see her as a positive figure or hero to become like her. One may find a friend in her. One may find that she is a strict motivator who fills discipline in his erratic mind. And so on. Like I said, while Divya must see all students equally. Students may see different persons in her.
SV: Hmm....
Kaka: However, the world is not idealistic utopia.
SV: What ?
Kaka: I mean there must be negative things too.
SV: Negative things ?
Kaka: In teaching profession ?
SV: Like ?
Kaka: Sometimes students blame their failures on their teacher.
SV: Hmm...True.
Kaka: See. Most times students themselves lose focus in studies or life due to outside forces, and then blame the teacher. Opposite can also be true.
SV:
Kaka: Student can lose focus due to inside forces too.
SV: Inside forces ?
Kaka: Forces inside a classroom. Like teacher.
SV: Losing focus due to teacher ? I don't understand.
Kaka: I am just blabbering hypotheticals. But hear me out. Sometimes a student get deviated from his studious path due to the teacher. Or, I can say he gets re-focused on something else.
SV: Still no idea.
Kaka: In crude terms, if I may.
SV: Yes, please. As your analogies and puzzles are getting difficult to understand at this time of night.
Kaka: Haha.. Sorry for being vague. I will be direct from now on. I am just wondering that there have been many instances where a student gets more focused on the teacher herself rather than what she is teaching. Especially if she is attractive.
SV: Yes. True.
Kaka: Let's be honest. We all men had one hot teacher in our life, who we thought damn! that woman is a perfect hottie. We all lapped around her to get into her good books, imagining if she will be seeing us like a man instead of a boy.
SV: Haha...
Kaka: Divya must be that teacher for a lot of boys who are dreaming if she can make them men. She may be naive in this matter.
SV: I don't think she is that naive. I mean a beautiful women are trained by environment and instinct how to handle various wasps.
Kaka: True. Of course. She is married woman in mid 30s. She is more experienced. In fact teenage boys are usually naive. I know I was.
SV: Haha.. So was I.
Kaka: I guess I don't have to worry about that one student. I guess Nimu was his name or nickname. He looked smitten by Divya.
SV: Who ?
Kaka: Nimu. I don't know his actual name. Divya was calling him Nimu only. He was taking her pictures.
SV: Yes. Nimu. Okay. I think I know him. Divya may have asked him to photograph her.
Kaka: May be. But I saw him capturing her random and close up shots. Many shots she was unaware of. Looked inappropriate to my old eyes. But I may be imagining things.
SV:
Kaka: I am not blaming anyone here. Neither Divya nor Nimu. Just saying things what it looked like. It could be totally harmless like Nimu collecting some hot pics of his lovely teacher for personal use you know.
SV: Personal use. Haha. I don't think so. He is a good boy. Anyways, I will look into this.
Later at night, I postponed the 'talk' as I (and Divya) was too tired. When sleep knocks, nothing is more important than it. I discussed this next night (we could talk late as Oct 2 was holiday):
SV: So, you enjoyed your garba night more than me. I sadly slept.
DV: Yes, I did. Haha, you could have enjoyed way more if only you were there. But it is alright.
SV: What was the main highlight of your night ?
DV: I don't know. Whole event was the pinnacle of devotion, hard work, hope and enlightenment. Great food, great dance, great people.
SV: Okay. Nice.
After few minutes,
SV: You are quite a politician. Let me transform into more serious journalist. Ma'am, what you said is true for all. Tell me about your unique experience.
DV: It was similar to everybody else. But I think my journalist want some exclusive breaking news.
SV: You are goddamn right! Is there any ?
DV: May be. (wink)
SV: Elucidate.
DV: I met Kaka today.
SV: Oh ? Me too.
DV: Oh ? What did he talk about ?
SV: A lot of things. Ladies first though.
DV: Okay. Actually, a few friends of Nimu wanted to come to the fair of our colony. But they were denied entry. I asked Kaka for help and he did arrange some passes. As a thank you gesture, your Kaka asked for a Garba dance with me.
SV: Oh. Interesting.
DV: I think Nimu got a video of that one. I will ask him. Anyways, Kaka looked like slightly intoxicated as he was somewhat clingy during the dance. But as usual, he was nice with words so I allowed a few touches here and there.
SV: Where is 'here and there' ?
DV: Haha. Should I show or tell ?
SV: Men are visual creatures. Show.
.....Sorry. Need to go. To be Continued soon.
